Is it okay for a 7mo old to have one bar of weetabix pureed with apple or banana? I offered my bub today and later thought that weetabix kids that I used is for age 1 onwards. I am wary of the nutritional demand being exceeded?!?

It should be okay if your little one had some, so don’t worry ❤️ At 7 months, babies can try a wide variety of foods as long as it’s the right texture (soft/pureed). The main thing with Weetabix is that it’s quite high in fibre and can be filling, so it shouldn’t replace breastmilk/formula, which is still the main source of nutrition at this age. One bar occasionally, mixed with fruit and plenty of milk, is generally fine You’re doing great exploring new foods with your bub!

I don't think it's fortified enough to exceed their requirements, even when eating fortified foods most babies benefit from multivitamins (especially vit d)

I’ve been giving my daughter weetbix kids for a few months now and we’ve had no issues. I usually mix it with mashed fruit and she loves it we’ve had no issues

Mine has half a weetabix most mornings (he won’t eat more than that), it’s pretty normal for the weaning journey I think! X

Mine had weetabix from 6 months. Started with half mashed with banana and after 1 he was eating 1.5 x
