Ladies, has anyone continued their antidepressant during pregnancy? Stories you can share? I was taking an antidepressant prior to my pregnancy. I weened off and have not taken them since week 10. I’m now 15 weeks and feel this was a huge mistake. But, there are risks to my baby. I don’t know what to do.

I was on sertraline when I found out I was pregnant. Researched the risks so I stopped taking them. My mental health team encouraged me to start taking them again as the risk is low and it's more important for the mum to be happy and healthy so they can keep themself and their baby safe. So I started taking them again and me and the baby were perfectly fine. (he had issues breathing but that was a complication of having a c section not the medication). It's really up to you to weigh the risks. Do you feel if you are off of them that you might cause harm to yourself and therefore baby, if so then take them. If you feel like you can keep you and your baby safe and unharmed when off them then don't take them to minimise the risk. Everyone is different so only you can decide what is best for you and your baby.
