Little boys 19 months. His been showing signs that he maybe is ready for potty training? Tells me when he does a wee and holds his crotch area. Says ‘pooor’and goes to his cupboard with nappies in. I just don’t know whether to put him in pull-ups? Because doesn’t that defeat the point , he will think it’s a nappy so can wee and poo?

No pull ups are designed for when they are learning so they can sit on the potty and learn that's were they go when they have the feeling that they need to go but still might not always know and do it in there instead whilst still being able to pull down their trousers and pull up themselves it's a step before putting them in pants when they only have the odd accident

Mine has been in pull ups in the day for ages just because it's so much easier to change nappy as she won't sit still
