I’m two months pregnant and I have a toddler of 2 and my partner constantly bothers me whenever I sit down resting without doing nothing, not only I feel guilty enough to not been able to play with my baby as I would like but also he literally doesn’t miss occasion to make me feel shi**! Obviously I cook clean and run the house all by myself and after he comes back to work and plays ten min with our son wants even an applaud for that! And never happens he helps wash my son it’ll be too much effort …
Just don’t know what to do, feel like I’ll better be off on my own ..

Hey hun, I’m sorry you are dealing with this, that isn’t fair at all. He definitely knows what he’s doing, it’s never ok to shame mothers for when they are resting especially pregnant, you need rest to be the very best mum and he’s clearly doing the bare minimum. Just know there are people who support whatever decision you do! I’m not sure I can give advice more as just totally understand where you’re coming from. Men can take a long time to get them to really empathize and it might be worth having some tough talks, you deserve to be supported and be happy. The weight of everything shouldn’t fall onto you in a happy relationship. Nothing is ever 50/50 there will always be times where one partner needs more help but it shouldn’t always be the same partner.
And that’s the main problem between us I think, I think that because he brings more money and does an heavy job means not to do anything else, I work too and yet I don’t stop when I get home till my son is all settled and I get some peace of mind with my clean house, it’s never 50/50 and always most on me, I can’t fall down and I can’t be weak in my head cause otherwise he won’t help me in any way, just so overwhelmed and don’t wanna rush into something that I might regret because of my hormones

That’s totally understandable, thinking things through is always best and let’s be honest as women we have to do whatever is safest for us. It sucks to say but even if you want to exit something you have to make sure you have a solid plan. Do you have close friends or family that can maybe help and give help but won’t pressure you into something you don’t necessarily want to do? It can be hard coming to certain people about these things but I find it helps getting honest feedback from friends who I know won’t judge me. I’m a stay at home mother now as I’m chronically ill and my husband does the “ earning” there are many days where he has to take over because I’m sick and relapsing. Postpartum and during my pregnancy I was extremely ill and he took that brunt. That’s how it should be, we never know when we’ll have a rainy day and men should learn how to care for a home becuase you might not always be able to. I now do majority of the work and when I’m losing it I usually make my
