My LO has decided he does not want to eat meat anymore as he now associates the animals he sees at the farm with those on his plate.
I'm happy to support him but as I've always been a meat eater I am unsure what to make / how to make it taste good.
Can anyone please recommend some veggie recipes that are not too time consuming but also does not contain nuts due to allergies?
He will still eat fish, eggs, dairy.. for now! Lol TIA

My favourite is red lentil daal. Red lentils, creamed coconut, tinned tomatoes, cook until soft, season to taste. My daughter has never been a big fan of meat (or fish, or eggs 🤦🏻‍♀️) so it's been our way of getting some protein and some iron into her! X

You could do him a fish pie, you can get a fish pie mix (just the fish) and simmer in milk, then make a white sauce with butter milk and flour then add the fish in put in a dish and on top put mash potatoes. You could get away with putting veggies in it too like peas, sweetcorn maybe some broccoli ect

Thank you both! Adding both meals to my (slowly growing) list x

That’s a great sign that he’s compassionate and empathetic, how lovely!

Try checking out Ottolenghi recipes, I’m a meat eater too and find a lot of veggie recipes bland and repetitive, but his veggie recipes are exciting and tasty
