Hey, so I am having my induction soon at the WHH and was wondering if anyone can share how their induction went at the WHH. Thank you

I didn’t have an induction but I was meant to and ended up going into labour on my own whilst staying there waiting for my induction, but if Harriet is working request to have her she is the most down to earth midwife and amazing at her job. I had her and she made the whole process really incredible!

I had an induction last June! Couldn’t fault the process or team at all.
Went in on the Wednesday evening, had pessary for 24hrs- then they gave me a gel for 6hrs as I hadn’t dilated enough and told me to try mobilise as much as possible. They checked me a few hours later and they broke my waters. Told me to mobilise which I spent a few hours doing however
I ended up having to have the hormone drip and a epidural. The midwives were so supportive! They broke my waters on Friday morning and I had my son Saturday at 6am.
I felt as though after I’d had him it was a little rushed to move me on. However they did manage to get MLU to have me as I was low risk as was baby. (My wishes were to have a water birth in the MLU)
They brought a light from the MLU up to labour ward to try and make it as relaxing as possible for me! My parter could stay the whole time. Once again team were lovely!
I hope you have a good experience too! Xx
