3 year olds sleep driving me crazy

Getting my 3 year old to sleep at a decent time has been a struggle for almost a year now.

Last April I went away for a few days and dad didn't keep up with our usual routine and have her in bed and asleep by 8/8.30pm (this is what worked best for us).

Since then, it's been a nightmare. So she gets up for nursery around 7.30-7.45am every morning. However, she still needs a nap during the day but will refuse an early nap in the afternoon. Here are the 2 problems we're facing:

1. If she naps between 2pm-3pm she won't sleep until past 10pm
2. If she doesn't nap - we've tried cutting this out, she gets really cranky and the tantrums are ridiculous and is falling asleep by 6ish. However if we allow her to go to sleep around 6/7 she treats it like a nap and then is up until stupid o'clock.

Some days she is sooo tired from nursery but will just refuse to sleep! And will just cry for ages.

I literally have no idea what to do about this! I also have a 3 month old and am exhausted and feel like I am getting zero me time!

I’m in a similar boat. My 3 year old goes to bed around 9:30/10pm. I do believe this is temporary until she’s ready to cut her nap completely then her bedtime will go back to a decent time. In order to get me time, I take myself to bed lol and chill there and leave her dad to put her to bed.

I think you need to keep going with the no naps since she is refusing them… is she napping at nursery? I honestly didn’t know 3 and a half year olds still napped 🤣 mine dropped it at 2.5 as when he did nap he wasn’t sleeping till 10pm, when the nap went he went to bed at 7pm.

Same as above my little one dropped the nap a few months before he turned 3. He does sometimes have a little powernap in the car but it’s never more than 20 mins really. Have you tried getting her up a bit earlier in the morning to see if she will nap earlier if you want to continue with the nap?

How are we dealing with creepy neighbours?

Only lived at my address for 5 months, I can’t go into detail of everything that’s happened with this 1 neighbour because it’s too much 🤣 but basically he’s weird and creepy as f*. He’s wanting too much information about my toddler, i am 4 weeks pp and haven’t answered the door once (since giving birth) to his parcels being left here or him ringing my bell. I feel like I’m being a bad neighbour but he’s just too much. I don’t want to stand at my door having the same repetitive conversation of him delving too much into my life, while I have a baby and a toddler now to watch.

Also my dog only barks at him…

He stares into my window every time he walks by (he lives right next door) honestly I wish I could spew every encounter I’ve had with him here but it’s too much 🤣😅 anyway - how do I stop feeling like a nasty neighbour? I don’t want him to hate me incase he is a psycho and tries anything but I also don’t want him to speak to me…

How long did your breastfed baby take to get back to birth weight?

I have just had my 5 day appointment and my baby has dropped 9%. I've been booked for a reweigh on Monday and told if she's lost more we will be sent to hospital. I said that's fine but I will refuse any feeding plan as I was put on one last time ( triple feeding) and it made my daughter projectile vomit and my mh plummet. She then asked if I had through about pumping and I said no I won't be pumping 5 days PP and 1 day after my milk has come in. Honestly the whole appointment has left me so angry at the pressure they put on us to get back to birth weight in 10 days. My partner also said she was weighed wearing a hat and blanket ( I had a c section so couldjt se)

No poo for 6 days.

My hasn’t had a poo for almost 6 days now. He’s mostly breastfed and once in a while on formula. Have spoken to health visitor but was adviced to
Monitor. I’ve also done lots of exercises with my baby like bicycle ride and tummy massage but nothing. His tummy is soft and winds a lot but no poo yet. Should I still be worried ? Almost 7 weeks

Colostrum

How much colostrum should I bring with me to the hospital? I’ve got about 20ml but don’t want to take all of the syringes with me as I know I won’t use them all. Thank you 😊
