Okay mamas after having kids, did your hair start falling out? Or are you still going through it? Have you found anything that actually helps?

I had 2 major sheds PP but I think it was mainly stress induced. The only thing that helped was nutfrafol! It’s pricey but stops the shed in its tracks. Not dealing w/ it anymore so haven’t taken it in a while

When I was pregnant my hair grew fuller so full and thicker it was absolutely beautiful. But after I give birth I experienced alot of hair loss. My edges were gone and I had to wear headbands or wrap my hair to cover it up.
I usually used aloe Vera in which I blend and add all my oils but I heard of Batana oil and that really help my hair grow back , when my mom saw how much my hair improved she decided to try it too, but it didn’t work for her the mixture was too strong for her hair.

Postpartum hair loss is very normal, your hormones have started to return to normal and as you don’t shed hair whilst pregnant you lose it all now.

Both times it stopped after about 3 months, it’s a natural cycle. You can just make sure you are taking care of yourself with multivits and things like biotin in the meanwhile.

Mine is just starting to slow down after 3months of shedding. I’ve been taking pumpkin seed oil tablets which seem to help

It’s normal, best thing you can do is take postnatal vitamins, eat a balanced diet, sleep or rest as much as you can to reduce stress, drink lots and lots of water especially if breastfeeding, and low tension hair styles. Give it time, my hair did the same thing, then at 6 months stopped shedding so much and my edges are finally growing back 😮‍💨🥲

20 months pp here and my hair still falls. If you’re breastfeeding your hormones will dry up your skin, give you dandruff and dryness down there. You can eat healthy, take supplements and regularly care for your hair but your hair fall won’t become normal till your hormones are back to normal. Also happens if you’re weaned off and have a birth control in place that messes your hormones up. There will be no product under the sun that’ll work till your mind and body is in sync. Xoxo

Traveling by car

FTM to a one month old and we want to travel to visit family so they can meet the baby. The drive is only 4 hours away but online keeps saying to take breaks etc because its dangerous to have the baby in a car seat for more than 2 hours at a time. Anyone been thru something similar? And what did you do?

Sleep

My LG (2.5) has always been a great sleeper. She still naps during the day, usually for anywhere between 1.5–3 hours, but lately she’s been fighting her naps and they’re getting later and later. But when shes gone, shes sparko!

We’ve had a few days recently where she hasn’t napped at all, and if she’s kept busy, she gets delirious by the end of the day before sleeping from 7pm–6am.

However, if we’re having a quieter day at home or I can’t get out, she might finally nap from 1–3pm. I try not to let her nap that late because it pushes bedtime back to around 10pm, but I also don’t want to keep her awake when she’s clearly exhausted, whinging and in need of sleep.

Does anyone have any tips for gently waking a toddler from a nap so they don’t sleep for so long? Or is it time to drop naps altogether? Alternatively, how can I get her back into the routine of napping from 12–2pm like she used to?

I know she obviously still needs the sleep, but our days are now starting at 5am, and I’m struggling to work out what’s best for her. I'm also aware the clocks go back soon which will fuck me even more. Shes up from 5/6am. She has so much energy and we play from the moment she opens her eyes till bedtime.

For context, I also have a 6-month-old who sleeps amazingly from 8pm–7am. This then means I sort my toddler out and have to wait upstairs until my baby wakes up as transporting her downstairs will wake her unnaturally.

Breastfeeding frequency during night

I am breastfeeding my baby and do pumped milk/ formula whenever it is absolutely required. Baby is 6.5 months old but she wakes up 5-6 times during night. Many of my friends said they will wake up less frequently once they're past 6 months. I have started solids as well in the morning.
Is it because of breastfeeding?
Should I just give formula before bed?

3 questions mamas!

1) how much sleep are you averaging at the moment? (I’m 3 weeks PP currently and baby is feeding every 3 hours, so getting 3 hours max of uninterrupted sleep)

2) are your babies really noisy and wriggly after night feeds but absolutely fine in the day?! If so, any tips please 🙏

3) following on from above really, how long does each feed take? Mine is up from about 1.5 hours from each feed so it’s sooo exhausting as she just won’t settled afterwards and is really wriggly/nosiy

Just wondering if I’m doing something wrong as I’m so tired and if the feeds were a bit quicker at night/could get her back down quicker it’d be so much better then I could actually sleep!

Thanks so much 🥰
