Difficult days

Hows everyone dealing with difficult days? When the baby wont stop crying and you feel helpless cos you don't know why, and there's no help, or there is help but its not enough, and you have no energy and all you want to do is crawl and cry till you fall asleep. Any small tips on how to get through those days?

No real tips but letting you know you’re not alone. Feeling the same way. Hope it gets better soon ❤️

Honestly. If I know he’s absolutely fine and he’s just being aggy, I pop my headphones in for 10 minutes just to get a break. I don’t put the music on but I put them on noise cancelling so I can hear him but it’s silenced out a bit (AirPod 3’s)

The day before I just got out with the pram for two of those naps for half hour blasted white noise and put music in for me it stopped me going absolutely crazy in the same four walls . It will end there learning so so much but it's difficult x

Crying if I need to, lots of deep breathing, pacing around with him (he’s always enjoyed it) and reminding myself although it’s hard now it won’t last forever and will be forgotten soon

Traveling by car

FTM to a one month old and we want to travel to visit family so they can meet the baby. The drive is only 4 hours away but online keeps saying to take breaks etc because its dangerous to have the baby in a car seat for more than 2 hours at a time. Anyone been thru something similar? And what did you do?

Inconsolable crying baby

Hi all, my baby is almost 6 weeks and in the past few days have been a real struggle as I breastfeed him, he temporarily falls asleep on me than suddenly wake up and cries non stop. No hunger or cold/warm temp or gassiness involved I believe - I tried also putting them in any position (on me as well), but nothing really works.
Quite sleep deprived therefore - both of us.

Anyone having something similar at month 2? How did you deal with it?

Any suggestion is welcome 🫶🏻

10 month old starting tantrums?

So my recently turned 10 month old has just started throwing his head back and making his body rigid when he’s not happy about something - like being put in his play pen, being taken for a nappy change/ nap etc. I’m worried of him doing it and hitting his head hard or worse being dropped (he is very big and heavy) - there has been a few near misses already.

He has also bitten me a few times in the last month (he’s got opposing teeth so really hurts) - luckily that seems to be lessening.

Just wondering if others are/ did have similar experience with their LB? Is it normal to start tantrum type behaviour at this age? And if so how do you react to it?

2 year old waking up at night

If your toddler 2 years wakes up at night and you know it’s a regression and they’re not crying just making whining noises and other sounds would you go into his/her room or just wait for them to fall asleep again even if it takes up to an hour?

Almost 5 months postpartum and feel terrible about myself

I just needed to rant and get this out.

I’m 5 months postpartum on the 21st and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I look in the mirror and barely recognise myself.

I’ve tried different things, I’ve changed my hair, try doing my makeup, bought new clothes and it all seems to make me feel worse.

And the weird thing is, it’s not my c section scar or my stretch marks that are actually bothering me, I can admire they gave me my beautiful son. It’s literally EVERYTHING else about myself I just hate looking at myself in the mirror!

I don’t think it helps that I feel so lonely, I don’t feel like many people understand what I went through with my labour and what I’m going through MH wise now and just think I’m being ignorant but I physically don’t have the mental capacity to message people everyday and be in constant conversation but yet I crave human interaction and friends.

Does everyone feel this way at first and when does it go away?

BF to Formula

Has anyone made a switch overnight rather than a gradual change? If so how did your baby react. My baby girl is 3 months and I’m planning to switch. She’s exclusively bottle fed.
