I share a room with someone she’s usually in bed by 9:30pm and I have a kid and we are usually settled in bed by 11pm. Am I wrong for this or is this rational?

Yeah I would say as soon as someone is going to bed all the noise should stop. In this specific situation 9:30 at the latest.

This isn’t an answer to your question, it’s just a question I have
Are you in a situation where there’s common spaces you could be in instead of inside the shared room?

I wouldn’t be making noise after another person was trying to sleep, I think that’s rude. Especially since they are an adult and you are the one with a child, surely they should be settling down too.

There is no one right answer. This is super personal and unique to your circumstances.
Has your room mate suggested to you that she has a problem??
If not, then, no worries
If she has, it's worth considering whether you can go to bed a little earlier. But to be honest it can be impossible to keep a small child quiet at bedtime 🤣

What does the person you’re sharing the room with say?

Yeah… Our kids are in bed by 8:30 and I read them a bedtime story until 9… They’re children and should be wind down for sleep.

11 is quite late for a little one over that overnight waking time schedule. So yes you should try to accommodate the room mate and readjust by atleast an hour. Ideally would be great if kid could be asleep before but if not an hour plus as a maximum. As well depends on y'all relationship and what age the kid is too.

This feels quite niche tbh! Why are you sharing a room? Why isn't your child in bed earlier than 11pm?
If I knew someone else was asleep I'd be keeping as quiet as possible.
I’ve been really struggling with maternity leave and feeling completely detached and angry (sadly with my son). Just wanted to hear from people that got through similar, I’m starting therapy next week and my baby is 7 weeks old.

My baby has her 8 week check up and jabs on Monday and I’ve heard that you need to give babies calpol before the appointment? My doctor hasn’t said to do this and I know someone who was told to do this so not sure what the correct thing is. I know I need it for after her jabs, just not sure on before.

I want to breastfeed as much as possible but we also want to pump so my husband can do some feeds too. Does anybody have any recommendations for ones that worked for them? There’s far too many options!!

My living room has carpet but I’m wondering if getting a large play mat would be better for baby to play on?

Hey ladies.
I am only breastfeeding my baby and I would like to go out for a longer walk/shops, but I don't feel confident breastfeeding outside. So I am seeking some advice on how I can feed my LO with breast milk only in public. Thank you.
