My almost 1 year old (in 2 days 🥹😭😭) has made it very difficult for me to keep up with work tasks. Since he turned 11 months I’ve noticed he’s much more clingy, which I know it’s all part of his development. However, when he’s awake, I have to give him my full attention therefore I fall behind at work. I’m like a crazy person when he’s napping trying to play catch up but it’s been exhausting. Is anyone in the same boat? If so, how do you keep your bay entertained?
Any toys, activity I’ve tried keeps him busy no more than 30 mins at a time. I know this is temporary but looking for some ideas I may not have tried yet.

My boy turned 1 end of Jan and he has just got out of this stage it’s defo a stage not sure why they go through it but they defo come out of it, I had to take him out the house and do stuff with him to keep him busy, but when we couldn’t leave the house we just have to play with diffent toys and I let him watch CBeebies for time to time as he enjoyed it.

I’m sorry, I’m going to play devils advocate here but your child is learning masses at this time and work from home jobs do not work when you have a child. They need constant attention because they are constantly learning. You’re their teacher.
I know parents need to make a living I get that but I have seen it far too often and 99 percent of mothers say don’t ever expect to WFH and be a childminder at the same time.

I've been WFH more or less since baby was born so I definitely know what you mean now the naps are shorter. Once she drops down to 1 nap, I'm considering hiring a nanny for a few hrs per day (we had a lot of problems with nurserys in the area with our son). Right now I'm just doing work once they are in bed. It's tiring but it is working for now

Thank you for the feedback, a in home nanny was going to be my next option to help. I try to do it all but it’s not always possible. We all just want what’s best for our babies!

How do you get the spark back?! All I see is people going away for the night with their partner or having quality time together, but we can’t do that, we have no one to look after them. Other than nursery we have no other childcare what so ever. We feel like lodgers and desperately need to get the spark back, has anyone else been in this position and what did you do?!

Is anyone else beyond exhausted with everything and everyone?
I’m a single mom, once again, except now me and BD live together (FM-healing).
I work full time as a receptionist at a post acute rehab for seniors, which should be the easiest thing in my life, but is actually the absolute worse, because the nurses are miserable and rude, so are the patients, and I am the punching bag.
I decided this year that I was going to sign back up for school, so now I’m in an accelerated program that feels like hell. Not to mention that I decided to sign myself up for the board, because I thought it would be a chance for me to make friends and be around like-minded go-getters, just to be the person who carries everyone’s weight.
I never get to see my baby, except for at night time, and by then I am emotionally and physically exhausted from the day that the last thing I want to do is sit on the floor and play cars with him, which makes me feel like the worse mom ever. Did I mention, I’m still in love with his dad?
Ten, Sixteen, and Twenty-five year old me dreamed of this life for so long, but never knew this is what I was asking for. Sometimes I wish I could just disappear, and sometimes I wonder if anyone would even notice.

Devastated newly single mom. Trying to cope with this sudden change. Was a sahm and my husband is now with another woman after us trying for a long time to work out our marriage. He lied and cheated and hid so many things and even cheated before we were married and I didn’t know til years later he admitted it. I still tried to work on it through our church support system and pastor and it ended up all worse when it became more complicated and we had to physically separate he found another woman within a month and is with her now. I am having no contact with him now but just last month was talking to him daily. And still trying to work. He told me he had slept with her and he wanted to and was no apologetic or remorseful. We are dealing with a difficult divorce and custody issues now too. I’m alone with my daughter and not much family around. It’s killing me everyday I cry so hard and am barely coping.

She’s got a cold and a cough right now. Quite mucus-y, but I regularly use saline and try and suck it out of her. She has no temp and is perfectly fine in herself, except she keeps waking herself up 20-30 mins into her nap from coughing/vomiting and then she can’t settle again, so I guess she’s probably more tired during the day.
She has plenty of wet diapers and will poo at least once a day. Logically, I know she must be fine, but it is driving me mad when she refuses all of her usual favourite foods 😮💨

My man’s constant comments about my postpartum body got my head f**ked up. At 24 yo I just had my second son in June 16 and am already down from 150 to 118 pounds and I’m proud of that…but my man (who’s very into fitness) is constantly telling me to go to the gym or sending me workout videos grabbing my tummy fat, whenever the baby’s relaxing he tells me to do squats or sit ups and even sending me A.I pictures of my body edited to what “it could be” he doesn’t see how much it messes with me even tho I say that’s not nice to say. I’ve been going to the gym 3x a week the last 2 weeks and a 2 mile walk daily with the kids sense 6 weeks pp like I’m trying but sometimes I’m just so tired… I’ve always been a very petite person and I know this might sound stupid but I feel rly anxious to just try and get back to how I was. Idk what to say to him because at the end of the day we want the same thing I just want to look in the mirror and pretty again🤦🏻♀️
