I’m three months pp and would really like to start loosing some of my baby weight now. I put weight on in my pregnancy and have a wedding in May, it’s probably a bit unrealistic but I’d like to loose a little bit before then. I thought breastfeeding would be helping me loose weight but I’m so hungry all the time 😭 has anyone managed to actually loose weight while exclusively breastfeeding?

Yes I've lost 2 stone, breastfeeding uses up calories but in reality you still need to eat less to actually lose weight. I use a food diary and try to roughly track calories. I reduced carbs & sugar, basically banning sugar - as its addictive and makes you hungrier - instead opting for lots of fresh fruit, snacking on raw vegetable sticks with hummus or peanut butter, plain yoghurt and protein like chicken, as my snacks.
My breakfast is typically a smoothie or a piece of fruit, maybe with scrambled egg or a handful of nuts
Lunch I usually do snack plates, cucumber carrot peppers celery with hummus or peanut butter, maybe a little cheese, if I'm particularly peckish I'll have a small portion of pasta or a veg heavy omelette
Dinner I eat what I want but I opt for small portions of carb/fat and large portions of vegetables/proteins/etc

I am struggling to loose weight 😫 but my 2021 baby i lost the weight quickly and weighted less then before I was pregnant.

Make sure you eat plenty of protein. Protein fills you up and you can have so much of it that it’s impossible to over eat. Chicken quesadillas are amazing! I make it in crock pot and toss it on pan with tortillas, super low calorie but high in protein, it leaves room for a snack if I wanted to. Lost weight by 1 month and still have lots of milk. Just gotta make sure you drink ALOT of water. You only really need extra 400/500 calories per day while breastfeeding. Protein is your best friend and I don’t even crave snacks in between I stay full. For little nibbles i eat animal crackers lol you can only eat so much of them and they supper low in calories
I see so many women on social media claiming to be having sex as soon as the 6 week check is done, and I'm wondering if this is the norm? My libidos has been through the floor for months. 😴

I’ve been really struggling with maternity leave and feeling completely detached and angry (sadly with my son). Just wanted to hear from people that got through similar, I’m starting therapy next week and my baby is 7 weeks old.

My baby has her 8 week check up and jabs on Monday and I’ve heard that you need to give babies calpol before the appointment? My doctor hasn’t said to do this and I know someone who was told to do this so not sure what the correct thing is. I know I need it for after her jabs, just not sure on before.

I want to breastfeed as much as possible but we also want to pump so my husband can do some feeds too. Does anybody have any recommendations for ones that worked for them? There’s far too many options!!

My living room has carpet but I’m wondering if getting a large play mat would be better for baby to play on?
