This is going to sound a bit strange, but after I finished a wee on the loo today, I heard this squelchy sound from my vagina, then a trickle of warm fluid.
I just assumed it was wee continuing to come out, but I'm now having a panic thay it was amniotic fluid leaking.
Baby has been moving since, and no signs of contractions or anything.
I'm 27 weeks, hence the mini panic.
Basically what does water breaking feel like? Would I absolutely know? It wasn't a huge amount, but it was pretty warm.
Looked in the loo and it was clear, no blood or mucus.
Please share any similar experiences, I'm spiralling
UPDATE - called triage and they said as it hasn't continued, that I should be ok. I'll of course monitor if it happens again. Thanks for your advice.

I'm really not sure that mine was an experience like everyone else's, but mine went when I was asleep and I really remember feeling like a balloon had popped inside me. Like I swear, I felt the pop, opened my eyes instantly and knew my waters had broken. After that my waters continually poured out. Like I was having to use incontinence pads and they were filling up really quickly. My waters broke without any contractions and at 40 weeks 5 days

Call your midwife or your maternity ward triage asap. My waters broke at 38 weeks, and basically fell like I was constantly peeing for 24 hours. I was walking around with diapers, changing it every 2-3 hours.

Call your midwife, always safest to get checked if you’re not sure about anything.
For some people, they can get a big gush all at once, or others, it’s a little trickle like a small wee.

I can’t explain what it feels like as I’m only 21 weeks with my first BUT my mother had the same thing happen when I was born at 24 weeks. You may be fine but it’s the safest to get checked — we’re all told it’s time big gush but no, it can also be as you’ve described, so please go get checked. Sending you all my love xxx

I was about to sit down and eat my tea and I just leaked water and said “oh, I think my waters have just broke” went to the toilet and it wouldn’t stop trickling after that, 2/3 mins later my contractions started. I would definitely call the midwife and they will give you a pad to wear and they will swab it

With you being on the toilet I would say it’s probably just wee- but honestly you don’t even feel anything, both times I’ve had to have my waters broken so different but I never felt it and wouldn’t of even realised 😂 if you are concerned deffo go get checked they can check
Im currently 40+3 with no signs of baby. My midwife wants to talk induction, does anyone have any advice on pain levels and effectiveness from the different types? The balloon method sounds very uncomfortable, but seem preferential to the pessary as you can go home after insertion?

Hey!!
I am having an elected C-section for a few reasons but one being my anxiety.
I was initially told I would get a date around 39 weeks but I’ve just been told it could be 41 weeks instead.
It’s really shocked me as I think this runs a risk of her coming naturally as well as now adding 2 weeks to her due date (39 weeks now being 41).
Does anyone have any experience or advice on how to manage this kind of news and how their c-section date booking went?
Please note - I’m aware I could get a date and it be moved due to emergencies but I didn’t expect this huge change.

Hello,
I’ve just had my 12 week scan. When we started baby was doing a head stand, so had to walk around for 30 minutes. When I came back, the baby was still in an unfavourable position, but could just about get measurements after doing an internal scan. I came out feeling a bit disheartened as she didn’t really say much during the scan, or after, to make me feel reassured everything was fine. I had to ask her after if everything was ok and she just said yes all fine. Am I just overthinking things or did anyone else find it just so “clinical” and one in one out kind of thing. It’s a shame because I’ve had some private scans and I was made to feel so comfortable and reassured there, but the NHS scan just made me come out with anxiety even though nothing was said to be wrong.

Hi everyone, i had my 20 week scan the other day. Everythings looking good but baby is on the smaller side particuarly head and tummy. I have been asked to go back in for a growth scan in 2 weeks time. I have been reassured by other people that some people do juat have smaller babies. My gp also advised i might need extra growth scans as some of my medications can impact growth but shouldnt be a big enough issue to come off the medications as that could have a bigger negative impact. Trying not to feel guilty as some people have smaller babies genetically anyway, i am jusr hoping to see reassuring progress at the next scan. Would appreciate tqlking to people who can relate

Hey everyone!
I’m currently weighing up a scheduled c section verses being induced (first time mum, I have gestational diabetes, baby is measuring big, high blood pressure, high bmi and various other factors for this)
I know there’s no real ‘better choice’ but I’d love to hear your stories to help me decide!
How was your experience, your recovery ect?
Thank you!
