I started doing stretches last night because my lower back has been painful to the point it's slowing me down in daily life. Told myself to do a few stretches at night when my little one is asleep and in the morning when he's at school. I always start working out and stop. I'm strong for maybe a week then I stop. Either I'm too tired, my period or just life happens. How do you stay consistent with working out/eating healthy?

It’s mind over matter. I don’t mean this harsh in anyway Because honey I go through the same thing.
I’ve been on my fitness journey for a couple of years now and I’m finally at my goal weight, but I have complacent tendencies. So what keeps me going is literally mind over matter and of course my faith in God on the days that I feel like I have no strength that’s where I find my strength. God bless wishing you progress on your journey. Remember, it’s not about perfection
progress over perfection

You have to make it a lifestyle

There are a lot of times when I don’t want to workout but staying consistent is important so you won’t stop after a week. Now I will get on the treadmill on incline when I don’t feel like working out. It doesn’t take much energy and it helps me stay consistent.

It’s a lifestyle for me. I find classes better. I go every week twice a week knowing it’s on same day same time, gives me routine and a break out of the house. I still go to my hobbies on my period, since I don’t get cramps I just feel bloated mainly. Music also helps. I tell myself I’m gonna do squats for 3 songs and I end up going to 5-6 songs doing other stuff like weights coz I’m enjoying the music lol. Try the 75softchallenge, the book for accountability is like $10 on shein. Ticking it off day by day and giving myself a reward at the end of it all (like a big Shein order lol) helps me push through. Because my classes are prepaid (doesn’t go to waste if I don’t go though it just adds up) I look forward on days I have dance class.

I definitely feel back pain more when I’m less active as well! Surprisingly I found a foam roller class on peleton (I’m sure there are some on YouTube too) to help get tightness out of my glutes and legs that helped way more than I thought! Would love to chat more, just message me!

Same with me. But, I stopped making excuses. Even if i am sick or on my period, i still get some movements in. People say that after 90 days it becomes a habit. So, keep pushing yourself. You can do it. I am working 10+ hours a day now because busy season and I have a toddler. I am still exercising 4-5 times a week.
