C-section or Vaginal Delivery

I had a c section because my twins were on the smaller side and they would not tolerate contractions well.

I didn’t really have an option to do vaginal delivery but I have no regrets about that process. There is a bit of pain 1-2 weeks after for me but in general my scar is hardly noticeable they did a really good job (they stitched it then glued it). We listened to music and the birth itself was pretty low stress, I was very relaxed and have nice memories of the experience.

We had a planned c section (MCDA twins) it was a wonderful calming experience! We knew when it was happening, they had our own music playlist playing and it took like 30 mins. Recovery wasn’t that bad I was walking around the hospital car park the next day. I would do it again and am going to do it again with my single baby now! Xx

I had a c section with my twins and a vaginal delivery with my first child. I scheduled a c section as soon as I knew I was having twins because for me I felt there were a few risks I didn't want to chance (I had an instrumental delivery with my first).

Was nice knowing when they would be born! I felt more in control and I made it 37+5 until the surgery. They also turned out to be breech so couldn't have had a natural delivery anyway.

You could always book a c section and change your mind closer to the time if you felt like it. Good luck with everything! X

And I had Dcda twins!

My sister wanted a spontaneous vaginal birth w her twins but up until 38w nothing happened so she ended up getting a Csec, we were all hoping and praying that labour would come naturally but it didn’t and they had to be evicted. 5”4lbs each!! That’s very big for twins. She was a skinny pregnant mama (if you’ve ever seen one, she was ALL belly, didn’t gain weight anywhere else but her belly) She’s never felt one contraction in her life.

Typically most Drs will go with a C-section because very often one baby is breech and not many doctors have the skills to do vaginal breech births (though some do). So I would take that into consideration.

I am 31+6 weeks pregnant with DCDA twins. I am a first time mom and currently booked in for an elective C-section at 37 weeks, so I’m currently counting down and preparing.
I always knew it’ll be a CS as I had an open Myomectomy about 2 years ago, so my consultant immediately recommended CS. Looking forward to it.

I’m currently 27 weeks with dcda twins and have opted for a csection . My first born was born via an emergency csection and I don’t want to go through that again especially with there being higher the chance with twins so I’m just going with the safer planned option

I did a c section as I wanted there to be low risks and everything as safe as possible. Plus the possibility of delivering vaginally one baby and then having to do an emergency c section for the second one cause baby B flipped once there was more space … not for me. I didn’t need to experience healing in both areas haha

Definitely don’t regret it! Had a great experience allowed for my mom to come into town and my husband to be off work and everyone was healthy

Mine were MCDA twins

I'm still pregnant with my twins but dont have a choice. I will have to have a c section (at latest 34 weeks) since they are momo twins. If I had the choice I would have definitely gone for a vaginal birth since I had a c section with my son.

i have di/di twins i had a c-section scheduled since baby a was breech but when i was 37 weeks she flipped! i told my doctor i wanted to try vaginal birth and yes she was hesitant and told me all the things that could happen but she agreed. so i had an induction scheduled instead. i went into labor a day before my induction and had a safe vaginal delivery. no nicu time, i was as ok as i would be pushing out 2 babies unmediated (my labor progressed so quickly that it was too late for an epidural 😭) i was in active labor for 6 hours baby a came out on her own (my body pushed her out itself)5lb 12oz and baby b took 2 pushes 5lb 14oz. c-section isn’t very common in twins but if both babies are head down then u can always wait for labor or get induced!!

I was scheduled for a natural birth. I went to the doctors appointment on Monday and I went to the hospital Monday night I was getting induced because the babies were both head down then Tuesday morning the doctor came in did me an ultrasound and and baby B was breached and he couldn’t turn her around so I had to have a C-section and by that time I was already 5 inches dilated. It happened so quick within 40 minutes of them telling me I’m getting a C-section. I was already in the operation room. but thank God everything came out perfect and they’re one min apart
