I feel like a horrible mom, my 2 1/2 yr old boy was wrapped up in his bath towel walking to the room and he tripped over his toy, because his hands were in the towel he couldn’t catch himself and he hit mouth first on the wood floor. He was bleeding everywhere and his tooth his messed up, i’m crying cause i feel like it’s my fault for putting his arms in the towel and i’m scared his smile will be ruined for years. Doctor said the tooth may come out but i don’t want his smile being ruined and toothless till his adult tooth grows in when he’s 6/7 yrs old, that’s way to long to not have a front tooth and i’m so emotional about this idk why to do…. i have an emergency dental appt tomorrow morning my i need advice for my emotions and how to cope, his smile is so beautiful 😭😭

My 2 year old son walks with his hands in his bath towel all the time! This could have happened to anyone, it’s not your fault! But I know I would be feeling the exact same way. I’m sending hugs from New Jersey. You clearly have a very happy well loved little boy!

I’d be worried more about head trauma, but tooth will grow up. Don’t stress yourself out.
I mean I understand you and I have big guilt about everything but he is healthy and tooth will grow eventually
I bet these days they have a way to fix it until his tooth grow up. I bet he is not the only boy with such a problem.
He is adorable!

Something similar happened to my little girl about 6 months ago. Yes blood was everywhere I panicked and cried more than her. There was swelling but after about a week and half she was fine. Luckily it’s not their adult teeth and it will adjust but luckily his teeth are still intact.
He will be fine he’s still beautiful.

This happened to my daughter, not the towel but she fell on tile floor. She ate soft foods for a week and we didn’t brush for a week with the dentist instructions. Her tooth got bruised and turned grayish for a few weeks and besides a chip in the corner it’s back to normal.

Baby will be fine. Maybe a trip to the dentist might provide more answers and reassurance but it could’ve happened to anyone & im sure you’re not the first. Baby boy will be alright!
