Maternity leave- bonus pay

At my company I normally get a bonus annually in March. I went on Mat leave in October 2025. I was expecting my bonus to come through this month however just checked my payslip and no bonus which I was really disappointed. My line manager has left the company just right after I went on mat leave so I don’t have a manager to contact. Has anyone been in similar situation? Am I being treated unfairly because I’m on Mat leave hence the no bonus pay?

This is a really difficult one to prove as bonuses are not guaranteed but if you know that everyone else has had a bonus as usual I’d definitely speak to the line manager and or HR xx

You should be entitled to your bonus, do you have a HR department you can contact ?

Definitely still entitled to a bonus. Contact HR.

Oh no..I got my bonus. Did you have your year end conversation?

Do you have a signed contract stating how long you get the bonus for? Where I work we get it for the first 6 months of our year off

I think you are supposed to be entitled to it, I got mine last mat leave x

I’m having a similar issue regarding pay rises. My team have been given them for hitting targets and I’ve been told I need to wait until I return from mat leave. I looked it up and it’s definitely maternity discrimination. I’d contact HR and tell them you will take it higher.

Do you know if the rest of your team received their bonus?

Contact HR and ask question…. It all depends from your work policy but I’m sure you should get one.

I didn’t get my bonus until I returned to work from mat leave

Thats not right. You are still employed and this should have been handed over to your new manager. Advise hr that you will be seeking advice from acas. Whether you were getting a bonus or not should have been communicated

On my first pregnancy they told me it was a discretionary bonus based on achievement of KPI and as I was pn maternity i didnt achieve anything therefore not eligible.
I now have a new job so im not hoping for a bonus but still hope I get something haha at least pro rata of what I worked

If I don’t like my ob can I just request at the hospital to not have my ob there?

I really don’t like my ob attitude. Can I just show up at the hospital ready to give birth and not have that ob deliver my baby? Because every time I goto the hospital they always wanna contact my ob provider and tbh she sucks!!! I’m in the middle of trying to find a new provider but I’m on Medicaid so it’s kind of not that easy :/

Low libido

I’m 16w 3d and I have ZERO desire to have sex

The first trimester I was exhausted with low iron, then I got iron tablets and was always feeling sick, and now I’ve come out the other side but I just have no interest in it

We have a 3 year old who is very much a mummy’s boy, he’s always sat next to / on me and I think when he goes to bed I just don’t want to be touched

My body is changing, my boobs are huge and sore, I don’t feel attractive and my confidence in my own image is lowwwww - so the thought of being touched makes me uncomfortable

I know it all stems from me and my tiredness / pregnancy hormones / low confidence but I also feel so guilty always saying no or turning him down

Equally though I’m not going to have sex with him when I don’t feel like it because I feel like I *owe* it to him

Anyone in a similar boat?
