Snoring partner

My partner snores. It’s so loud I can hear from another room. I normally sleep with ear plugs when I can’t take anymore but that won’t be possible when baby is here. Has anyone else experienced this? Did your partner see a doctor? What worked for you? It’s currently 5:30 and I’ve been woken by it 6 times. I feel insane.

If it's that loud it's not unlikely that it's sleep apnea

When my daughter was born I struggled to sleep with all the weird noises she made in her sleep... on top of husband snoring.
I slept with an ear plug in my right ear but my left ear just on the pillow so slightly muffled some sounds. It meant I could still hear her cries but it drowned out the other noises.

But also a good elbow to his back if the snoring got too much 😅

It’s the worst, I’ve wondered the same but he refuses to get anything check as he feels it’s a me problem if I can’t sleep. We very rarely share a bed now.

When I was pregnant with our second I’d make my boyfriend sleep on the sofa and me and my daughter would sleep in either my bed or hers. Couldn’t bare with him sleeping upstairs because his snores are so so loud. I was very adgitated with it towards the end of my pregnancy because our toddler is feral so I needed as much sleep I could get on top of being in pain it was a lot to cope with.
He still won’t go to the doctors. I’m pregnant again and the snores are starting to annoy me again because our 4 month old is teething and she’s up multiple times a night with the pain. Waking him up to turn over never works he still snores so loud.
Don’t have any advice just following along to see if there’s anything I can do to stop it being so loud🤣

Yup. Feel your pain. My neighbours can hear my husband when he kicks off... not joking.
We are fortunate that I was able to go sleep in the nursery, but if thats not an option, highly recommend getting him some nasal strip's and begin mouth taping practice 👍

Is he willing to do anything about it? If so, he needs to get tested for sleep apnea. Also, nasal strips and sleeping on his side can help.

Why can’t you sleep with ear plugs when your baby is here? Newborns are incredibly loud sleepers. I had to sleep with earplugs or else they’d wake me up every 15 mins. I say keep the earplugs

car recommendations!

Hi mamas!!

I’m currently looking for cars as i go back to work in a few months.

I don’t want a huge car as i hate driving them but want a decent sized one to be able to fit all my baby’s things - ie car seat with isofix and pram.

I only have 1 child but need something reliable.

Could you give me any suggestions? x

Inconsolable crying baby

Hi all, my baby is almost 6 weeks and in the past few days have been a real struggle as I breastfeed him, he temporarily falls asleep on me than suddenly wake up and cries non stop. No hunger or cold/warm temp or gassiness involved I believe - I tried also putting them in any position (on me as well), but nothing really works.
Quite sleep deprived therefore - both of us.

Anyone having something similar at month 2? How did you deal with it?

Any suggestion is welcome 🫶🏻

10 month old starting tantrums?

So my recently turned 10 month old has just started throwing his head back and making his body rigid when he’s not happy about something - like being put in his play pen, being taken for a nappy change/ nap etc. I’m worried of him doing it and hitting his head hard or worse being dropped (he is very big and heavy) - there has been a few near misses already.

He has also bitten me a few times in the last month (he’s got opposing teeth so really hurts) - luckily that seems to be lessening.

Just wondering if others are/ did have similar experience with their LB? Is it normal to start tantrum type behaviour at this age? And if so how do you react to it?

BF to Formula

Has anyone made a switch overnight rather than a gradual change? If so how did your baby react. My baby girl is 3 months and I’m planning to switch. She’s exclusively bottle fed.

Almost 5 months postpartum and feel terrible about myself

I just needed to rant and get this out.

I’m 5 months postpartum on the 21st and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I look in the mirror and barely recognise myself.

I’ve tried different things, I’ve changed my hair, try doing my makeup, bought new clothes and it all seems to make me feel worse.

And the weird thing is, it’s not my c section scar or my stretch marks that are actually bothering me, I can admire they gave me my beautiful son. It’s literally EVERYTHING else about myself I just hate looking at myself in the mirror!

I don’t think it helps that I feel so lonely, I don’t feel like many people understand what I went through with my labour and what I’m going through MH wise now and just think I’m being ignorant but I physically don’t have the mental capacity to message people everyday and be in constant conversation but yet I crave human interaction and friends.

Does everyone feel this way at first and when does it go away?
