We are flying on Monday with British Airways (long haul to Caribbean) I will be 29 weeks! Midwife said I’m fit to fly and all good etc, but would not supply fit to fly as they do not do it neither does my doctor! So I got a private one, has anyone flown recently with them and is that all that will be needed?
Thanks so much in advance! 🤍

Yes me, at 30+6, also got a private note and generic letter from my midwife. They didn’t even ask me for it/notice I was pregnant on the way out 😅 although i did wear a big coat so maybe they genuinely didn’t realise rather than just ignoring it. On the way back I flew ryanair not BA and got asked for fit to fly note, showed them my private one and it was fine. Do make sure it explicitly states both of your flight dates and your due date, they also asked me for date of conception but I told them in UK you just get due date and thet were fine with it. Hope that helps and have a great holiday!

I flew when I was 28 weeks pregnant, I made sure I had to fit to fly but they also didn’t check when we got to the airport. It’s always better to be prepared and have it with you, the private one should be fine ☺️

I’ve just got back from Mallorca, they requested to see it on the way home x

Yes I flew with them last week to Tenerife I was 28 weeks. I gave the form on their website to my midwife and she happily signed it but no one at all asked for it. Lots of staff said congratulations, one staff member vetting the queue asked how far along I was, if I had the form just in case someone asks but literally noone did. There was a lady on the way back I got speaking to sitting in front who was due same time as me. She didn't even look pregnant so doubt anyone bothered her. Only thing I would say is Carribbean is a little longer so just keep active, keep moving hourly and drink lots of water

I’m flying next week at 31 weeks pregnant, I’m getting fit to fly from Zoomdoc online it costs £50 xx
