My daughter is nearly 2.5 years old and has a dairy allergy. She has been dairy free for nearly 2 years. She has failed the milk ladder 3 times last year.
However, these last couple of weeks I have been slowly giving her stuff that contain milk, like grated cheese, a spoonful of yogurt here and there. Not a lot but just a little bit as she’s not the biggest fan of it obviously with never actually having it.
When she was younger she had a delayed reaction to milk as it turned out it was a build up reaction where she would get a rash all over her body, loose sour smelling nappies filled with mucus, vomiting and just unsettled with a sore tummy.
Because I have started giving her dairy again and obviously I don’t know how she will react to it (we’ve luckily had no reactions so far). I’ve informed the nursery that she attends (same one I work at but am currently on maternity leave) that she has been having little bit of dairy at home this week just incase she has had a delayed reaction whilst at nursery so the girls know what to look out for. And we will continue to give her dairy ONLY at home until we know how much she can tolerate.
So please tell me why my partner got pulled into the porch by a staff member and told him that the member of staff that I have told this to yesterday morning has gone to all the rooms and has told them that my daughter is no longer allergic to milk and I said that she can have it fully now and I’ll be no longer providing her soya milk and substitute food for her so they just wanted to check that is the case so she can be taken off the allergy list.
When my partner told me this I emailed the nursery manager and expressed that under no circumstances did I say my daughter is fully on dairy now and she is only having it at home under our supervision and she is to be given no dairy at all at nursery unless I provide something with dairy in it that she can tolerate.
Am I overreacting? Or am I right in being annoyed at them?

No you have every right to be annoyed as you told them that ur only doing it at home and to look out for a delayed reaction
If that was me as well as emailing I would send a letter to the school so if they don’t look at the email they have it in writing and hand delivered a letter so they can’t say they haven’t received anything
As then if they give her something and then she comes home and has a reaction you can speak to them and say you hand delivered a letter as well as a email saying under no circumstances to give her dairy x
