Hi, just looking for some advice. Been suffering with back pain and pelvic girdle throughout pregnancy, and now entered third trimester and it’s gone up another notch and pretty unbearable! Think triggered from a 3 hour drive and back the next day for a work event earlier this week 😞
Has anyone got any quick help tips they found worked well?

The only thing that helped me was resting and pregnancy massages. Hope you feel better soon.

I was hospitalised for this and delivered at 37 weeks on the dot. Because it was so bad it caused severe medical insomnia. They gave me oral morphine and dihydrocodeine. Barely helped. But one thing that did help was diclofenac suppositories ! Ask about them x

I suffered from pelvic girdle pain and sciatica of my pregnancy. The only thing I really had was a belt that I had to wear from physio (which my midwife referred me for) although this only helped until about 30 weeks. Unfortunately I had to go off work at 30 weeks due to the pain. When I got to 37 weeks I did use a tense machine and that seemed to help a bit.

I had the pregnancy belt to help with the girdle pain, a warm bath and plenty of rest. Paracetamol helps too x

I’m only in my second trimester but have suffered with a fair bit of pain so far (and a bit terrified about the final trimester pains), but the things that have helped so far:
• baths with a pillow which helped take the pressure off my hips
• coccyx pillows and crossing my leg underneath to share the load a bit more
• exercise ball to take away heavy load on hard surfaces. Gentle movements helped too.
Good luck!! X

Get an appointment with an osteopath, best thing I ever did, worth every penny, I started seeing the osteopath for PGP and Sciatica at 26weeks, I've seen him every 4-6 weeks and I've had no pain since. X

Nothing helped me :/ I went to physio and it was totally pointless, I ended up getting induced a week early because I couldn’t cope with the pain anymore, they gave me codeine the last few months before I gave birth and my son was born with withdrawal from the codeine :/ it’s a horrible condition and I feel for you! So far I havnt had it this pregnancy but there is still time! Good luck! X
these november baby’s ain’t playing i’ve been in labor since this afternoon she’ll be here soon !

Hello
I’m 36+2 and I’m officially over the midwife care I have received, I’ve been dismissed multiple times on different subjects by multiple midwife’s in my community midwife team , I’ve not seen one consistently it’s been a group of 4 of them , I get told “ we will talk about that at the next appointment “ only to have somone else and it not be discussed & for my last 2 appointments I’ve been sent to maternity assessment .
I also asked not to see one of the midwives again and I was told it’s not possible and can’t garuntee it .
It’s causing me more stress now than anything is anyone else in the same boat ? Can I refuse maternity care going forward ?
I’m happy to go to maternity assessment if needed but I can’t with the community midwives anymore .

Having my second baby and this time around I have to have a C section due to complications in my last pregnancy.
Could you give me your best tips and advice. I have no idea how to prepare or what to bring or use post healing!
Super nervous about it.
Thank you 🩷

People say the sun starts to come out at 3 months postpartum and slowly becomes enjoyable at 4-5 months, in this true, i have been reading mixed things, currently at 6 weeks postpartum and just surviving on hope things Will be better!!

My sister has her hen do abroad, 6 weeks after my baby is due. I’m so torn as I know with my first I struggled leaving her for a minute when she was that small. I obviously don’t want to miss my sisters hen do as I’m maid of honour & so excited for her!
My fiance has said he is happy for me to go and he will look after our toddler and the newborn. (I’d have to pump and leave milk) although we might try to combi feed like we did for our first.
Would love to be there for both occasions. Is it so bad just for 3 nights?

My little one is turning one soon, and I’d love to hear how other mums marked the day. Did you do a big party, a day out, or something simple at home?
