Feeds during nursery day

My son started nursery at 14 months I used to breastfeed him still at that time but once he started nursery he had to adapt himself don’t worry she will be fine 😬😬😬

My son started nursery at 1 and the day of his first birthday was so distracted he went a whole day without breastfeeding. He started nursery just after and took to his meals really well so didn't need ask/want any feeds. As soon as he saw me though he was ready for his breastfeed. The days he wasn't in nursery he just went back to his normal feeding routine.

They will adapt, theyll give them lots of cuddles. They will probably just stick to the usual routine when at home though.

My daughter was 90% exclusively bottle fed and at nursery she only ever had 1 of the two bottles in the day but when at home she would run to the fridge and scream because she wanted the second bottle. She dropped the other bottle at nursery before at home too. Whats funny is she now has boob before nap which she hasnt had in in well over a year and shes now 2 🫠 on my days off. I get smacked in the face with no nap, milkies mummy milkies! Has boob then looks at me and goes i nap now night night 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

She usually has boob first thing and a bottle of expressed before bed and sometimes boob after. Im weaning from pumping so once my supply is gone she will have boob or water

My little one was breastfed and fed lots during the day still. He started nursery just before he turned 1 and just adapted to not having feeds when I wasn't there and eating his meals x

My girl is doing well without milk on the days I’m not with her. Still feed her the rest of the time and it’s all good! She sleeps well at nursery with milk which was my worry as I still feed her to sleep at home!

On the lead up to nursery, we swapped day time feeds with snacks. But tbh my daughter wasn't really feeding properly during the day anyway. Maybe try replacing one feed with a snack and go from there? But from what I've heard, they adapt while at nursery and just bf more when they get home (my daughter being an exception to that as she just decided to wean herself because she loved solids so much lol)

Hi, my little boy also breastfed and was not amazing at solids. He started nursery last week and seems to be doing fine without breast milk when je is there and it got him so much better at eating solids now. I was in the same boat, just couldnt Express enough to take with him but he has been absolutely fine.

Mine started at 13 months and I didn’t pump, never have.
She adapted well, but will demand boob the second she is home. 16.5 months now.

When home she breastfeeds in the morning, before nap time, 1 nap, and before bedtime.

My girl has just started at 10 months. She feeds in the morning, when we get home and at bedtime / in the night. She’s fine :)

Mine started at 9 months and also refused any bottles even though we had been trying since 5 months. I was so worried but HV told me its not his main source of food now as he was on solids so going the day without is fine. I used to let him feed right before drop off then if he wanted one when he got home. After a few weeks he then happily took a bottle in the day at nursery.
