Having to take baby everywhere

Do people take their babies with them to hairdressing appointments ? I’m desperate to get my hair done but my 4.5 month old is literally glued to me 🤣 she feeds every 2 hours so I can’t really leave her with any yet !

I don't see why you couldn't take little one my lovely or maybe booking a mobile one so you can be at home while they do it ☺️ my mum is a retired hairdresser and would go to people houses if they couldn't get in the salon x

I agree that a mobile hairdresser might be good as I can say as an ex hairdresser it is stressful if someone brings their baby in an salon environment as the timings are tight and we don't want you to feel stressed either but babies can be unpredictable mood wise. I think doing it at home would give you and baby more comfort and calmness

I own a hair salon and was desperate to have my hair done when baby was 4 months old, omg the greys were horrendous and kept waving at me everytime i passed a mirror!!! 🤣 My stylist offered to come to the house but its just not the same, especially that head wash 😍 so I went in and it was amazing and just what I needed. I have done many clients who have bought their babies in and it has been fine. I just allow extra time for them to feed or change baby if needed. Have a chat with your hairdresser and explain that you may need a little extra time incase she needs feeding etc, im sure your hairdresser would love to see you and your beautiful baby. Get your hair booked in and enjoy the pamper mumma 🫶🏻

Car seat help!! 🙏🙏

(Please ignore the messy car)
We had this car seat fitted yesterday by Halfords but the seat belt is in the way of putting my baby in. The guy who fitted it said it has to be like this so it’s diagonal in the back but I can’t put my baby in from the outside I have to go inside the car and buckle her in.
There must be another way 😩 or some trick to fix the seat belt down easily, put baby in, then put it back out? I need to sort this out asap because she already hates the car seat and she’s especially annoyed at it after daycare so I can’t make it worse 🥲

Naps

How do you put your baby to sleep for a nap? I’m losing my sanity it’s getting so hard and he’s always been sleeping on me

Ease my mind please 🥺😭

I'm lactose intolerant, it's gotten more mild as an adult (next day I live on the toilet with a belly ache, it's not an allergy but an intolerance so can be quite painful and was horrible as a child)

My sweet girl is 2 weeks and 6 days old, I was changing her nappy and found a small amount of coffee ground blood. Straight away it reminded me of the struggles my mum had with me and how she was so scared of the blood in the nappy she took me to A&E.

I've called our doctor and booked an appointment but I'm just having a horrible day mentally with it. I hope she doesn't have it as it's not nice to live with and it causes so much discomfort especially her being so small 🥺

She spits up a lot, she can poo 4-5 times an hour, she gets visibility uncomfortable when she's gassy and once she's relieved, she's so much more happy.

Has anyone else got a baby with cmpa? Any advice as I'm almost certain this is what it is, I just need my doctor to confirm 🥺

Breastfeeding

Just wondering how often everyone is breastfeeding? My 8 day old is on the boob all the time and several people have suggested a dummy. I’m not anti getting him one but not sure if I’m just giving in too soon and it’s normal for him to be feeding often at this stage. He’s definitely not only eating once every 3 hours!

Bedtime tips

Little boy is 10 months old but super attached .He’s been breastfed since birth but have now switched to formula everything is going well apart from bedtime or anytime he’s on his own , he’s very distressed when I place him in his cot and I end up going into his room endless times in the space of 30 minutes then just give up and place him in my bed . No judgement please just any helpful tips I can try .I also don’t want to do the cry it out method . Again no judgement that’s just something I don’t want to do

Thank you

How do you get your kids to stay in bed?

Every night we brush his teeth, read him a book and cuddles and back rubs and then we say good night. And every night he comes out 20 times for the most random reasons. How do I keep him in there? I feel like the only way he will actually stay in his room as if I start to get mad and I’m tired of being an angry mom how do I stay patient and get him to understand it’s bedtime?
