I am a new SAHM with a 4 month old son. Sometimes I struggle with routine. Should I go out and meet new people? Walk in the park? Have solo dates with my son? I am always in my head on what to do next that sometimes I stay stuck. Anyone else in this position? If so let’s connect 💬

I met a mom from peanut middle of my pregnancy and we go on weekly walks. I also have a somewhat weekly walk with another friend and have been focusing on relationships with family members I like to invite them over to visit me and the baby.
I also keep busy with food prep, cleaning, errands, workouts, walks in my neighborhood and making an effort to meet new people that align with where I’m at currently.

Yes! Absolutely you should do all those things! Motherhood is definitely a transition. It’s harder at first but once your little one becomes more interactive you’ll enjoy the journey so very much. I’m in a different stage now. All mine are teens but we still have a lot of fun together. Don’t worry just be present in the moment this baby stage is so short lived.

You aren’t stuck , it’s just a new season you have to learn to embrace, you don’t have to have a routine , I think we are all up in our heads thinking this is how it ought to be , you just have to create what works for you but take conscious effort to make connections with like minded moms , check your library for story times , go to the park when you are up for it and the days that your moral is low , relax and get back to it again , it gets easier by the day and four months is just weeks ago , give yourself grace . ❤️

I feel this way frequently too, especially when I haven't gotten out of the house lately. I have a 5 month old and it is hard to get out a lot of the time with feeding and nap time. I havent figured it out yet but just want to say your not alone.
