So my boyfriend mom thinks I should’ve been stopped nursing my son and he didn’t defend that part not only that but he also says I’m making our son a “softy” he’s only 1 years old btw and my boyfriend comes home from work at 4:30pm and won’t spend time with him until it’s time for me to put my son and daughter for bed and wants to play mind you this is 9pm at night like you had
more than enough time to play with them both and didn’t and his mom said how is someone gonna watch my son if he wants be breastfed all the time well I don’t have a license right now so I’m in the house 24/7 everyday all day besides taking my kids in the backyard

That sounds very difficult. I’m sorry. He needs to step up. I’d talk to him about it. Tell him you need more/the kids need a more engaged and hands on father. Breastfeeding at one year old is totally fine. Keep that up.
I’d also try and get out more, local parks and libraries. Whatever you can walk to or public transit to. Staying home was horrible for my mental health. We’ve been active since he was a newborn. I plan at least one outing a day.
definitely gonna take them more parks and just being outside more in general

With Boyfriends mothers comments - With zero respect - butt out
The WHO reccomends breastfeeding until at LEAST 2 ys old. Which gives most benefit to child and mother.
It’s not her business or her problem what u choose to
Do with your body or your baby. It’s usually mothers who didn’t BF who have these strong opinions- no coincidence.
The Boyfriend issue. He needs to step up. If he is home by 4:30 he has 30 mins to get himself changed / showered whatever he wants then it’s daddy duty. 5pm-bedtime.
Childcare is a full time job also it’s not like u havnt been physically working all day:
Forget the mother
Deal with the Boyfriend first it’s his kid.
Then he can be the one to tackle his mother’s inappropriate unwanted comments

Your boyfriend’s mom sounds like she’s needs to deal with her own kid, not yours. Give her son a talking to about being a proper parent & priorities that come with that and or keep her “advice” to herself, if she’s not offering anything but unnecessary baseless criticisms.
Him also saying a 1 year old is becoming “soft” because he’s breastfeeding and being a baby is *eye roll*
I’m sorry, they should be supporting you, not adding more to your plate mentally and physically
