I have a 3 year old and 10 week old. Currently trying to get ready but having to feed, everything seems to take so long. I’m late for everything, my baby just cries so I’m constantly stopping and starting. I just put tv on for my 3 year old and she’s so good and just watches it. I’m late for everything, I need to start getting ready hours before I need to leave and I’m still always late or rushing 😣 I’m grateful but it’s hard.

Exactly the same. 3 year old and 10 week old! It’s hard when you’re on your own their schedules just don’t line up, definitely late for everything. One of them always needs you. It’s 10am and I’m not dressed and haven’t eaten yet!
It’ll get easier we know it. Let’s just get through it! You’re doing an absolutely amazing job keeping 2 tiny humans alive and happy. The TV is your friend, some days it’s on all day, it’s a good day if it’s not. Give yourself some grace x

Best tip is to always keep your changing bag stocked up. Whenever you have time where both are content get it stocked up. I've found that being organised is key. Once they are both asleep for the night I spend 30 mins making sure everything we need is ready for the next day, bottles, clothes for the day for me and the two boys, teeth brushing stuff kept in the kitchen so we don't have to go back upstairs. I also shower in the evening when they are both asleep which helps cut down time.
Also having very low expectations on timing is the best thing. Our toddlers routine is most important (nursery etc) the baby has to slot into that for now

am same but i have a 5 year old too☝🏻🤣🩷🩷🩷🩷

Same here. I’m breastfeeding my constantly hungry 10 week old who has severe reflux. Leaving the house with them both seems impossible!

I’m the same also some days are easier then others! I also have a 11 year old but he is quite good 😊 I’ve found that aiming to be out of the house earlier than I need to be means I leave on time most of the time Xx

I promise it gets easier. This was me 2 years ago with my girls who are 2 years 9 months apart and I'm now feeling the same again with a 10 week old again. Once they start having less naps it helps. My main advice would be to fit around your 3 years routine rather than trying to fit around your 10 week olds - they can always eat/sleep etc while you are out.

Me too! I’ve got a 3 year old in two weeks and a 9 week old, I have to plan in my head what I’m doing, timings, who is getting ready first, remember everything for the bag, things for my 3 year old and things for baby, potty..it’s a lot😅😅
My almost 4 week old will not go down for a nap / at night. She falls asleep on us no issue and then soon as we transition her she lasts about 10 mins and then she’s awake. It’s the same during daytime naps and at night. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!!!

I’ve been feeling like a failure lately because my baby’s first birthday is coming up, and I lost my job after she was hospitalized for Covid & Flu B I’ve been trying so hard to make her birthday special, but I don’t have much help or a support system.
I’ve reached out a little for help with birthday decorations like via wishlist or anything possible , but I’ve gotten very little response. I completely understand that nobody is obligated to help me, and I’m not expecting anyone to owe me anything. I just think it’s hard when you’re trying to do everything on your own and want so badly to give your baby a special day.
I’m still going to do everything I can for her, but honestly, this has been weighing on me more than I want to admit.

We're in a family room in a hotel atm. My boys 3.5 and 6 months old only co sleep so I put them in bed with me with space between us. My husband comes, pushed the kids ups, put a pillow down and went to sleep on the pillow in the same bed. I woke up to feed my 6 month old and see my toddler is on top of the 6 month olds arm. I said you are putting them at risk. I said I'll sleep on the bunk beds you keep an eye and feed baby if he wakes up. Then he kicks off swearing and sleeps in the bunk bed. Then said I can take them down to breakfast myself. Am I wrong?

Does anyone else child(ren) at 5 months old not want to take naps during the day? My son just turned 5 months old on the 9th of this month and today he's been really fussy and cranky, that no matter how or what I do to try to calm him down he just would stop! I'm a first time mom and I've done all I could think of after looking up pretty much everything on how to raise a baby/ infant. Rocking, singing to him, giving him a bath and among other ways to relax him, just didn't work. We took him for a car ride because usually that helps at night mainly. He just now went to sleep after patting his butt but I'm afraid that he isnt going to stay asleep, like he has been doing at night. Help a momma out please.

Can someone send me reliable academic and peer reviewed links to research which shows that the cry it out method damages children’s mental health please.
While we haven’t and don’t plan to do CIO, I see so many comments from people stating things like it damages mental and quite frankly really horrible comments to parents asking questions about it without including the scientific evidence. It’s not fair to judge other parents choices.
