really dumb question

FTM and I have a 7 week old. Typically he sleeps when he wants and during his wake windows we do the typical stuff like stretching, tummy time, reading, etc…then he usually eats and will take a nap for a bit and repeat. Sometimes his naps last pretty long, we let him sleep until its time to eat again. And his wake windows last pretty long so it’s all kinda random. Now since he’s starting to move out of the newborn stage and sleep less (longer wake windows and stuff), do you guys have a set schedule to put them down for naps? do the naps need to only last certain amounts of time or should i let him sleep as long as he wants? When should i start a more solid sleep routine with scheduled naps and such? i just want to make sure im not messing anything up, any kind words and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Look up newborn sleep cycle length and wake windows length and base your day off those.

I don’t personally! I let him tell me when he’s hungry/tired etc! He started sleeping from 9:30-5 at around 9/10 weeks so his wake windows were longer and his naps became shorter xx

15 weeks in and I still just follow his sleep cues. Usually a nap per 4 hrs (in between each feed) and they last 30-1hr xx
Wake windows are generally 1hr15 mins ish for a while but I notice Fred is tired when his skin around his eyes goes slightly red xx

My girls 9 months and sleeps around 10 hours at night and we just go off her wake windows / tired cues. Sometimes she’s awake longer and sometimes shorter than recommended for her age but each baby is just different and yours is still so young at the moment anyway. Maybe after she’s 1 I’ll have a specific time to nap for her if she always goes bed / wakes up at the same time but even now it varies every day xx

My girls 3 months and i still go by what she wants to do and just wstch for hunger and sleep cues

With my first i followed the sleep guide on huckleberry but with a 2nd i dont have phone on me all the time and i cant be bothered to always check so i just do what she wants to she still sleeps through the night so i cant complain haha

I let my baby sleeps as long as she wants and always have. She is 7 months old now. She sometimes has a 3h30 nap and two others of 1h or more and sleeps at night usually from 8pm to 5:30am then first nap of the day 1h15 after she woke up

My little boy turns 5 months next week and we do everything on demand. The only thing I kind of do is trying to do bedtime as in going up to bed around 21:00-21:30 and being more upbeat/saying good morning from 07:00-08:00 onwards but when he sleeps for bedtime id still on demand and is changing lately. He was more routines and would sleep between 21:00-21:30 which is where that being his bedtime started coming from but going through teething and regression currently

Not a dumb question! And you’re likely going to get varying response because it totally depends on what works for you!
For me .. for my family — I started to cap naps when my son was on a two nap a day schedule which for him was around 8-9 months old.
I used the huckleberry app pretty much exclusively to track all his naps for the first 15 months of his life that way I never felt like I was guessing when he was tired and I could plan my day around his naps! Even on two naps the times fluctuated during the day, but I always capped them and could plan around them.
When he flipped to one nap was when a set schedule was implemented. He pretty much has exclusively napped 1230-230 since he was 11 months old (he’s nearly 2), and I wake him every morning at 730 if he’s not already up so that the day doesn’t get jumbled.

Binders for pregnancy?

I’m 19 weeks and my boobs before pregnancy were 30dd and now they’ve gotten even more massive and heavy. I’m non-binary and sometimes my boobs give me gender dysphoria. Usually I use binders from Spectrum Outfitters but I can’t fit into them anymore. I’m wondering if there’s any binders that are good for in pregnancy. My boobs feel like ROCKS!! I don’t even think I could achieve a flat chest with a binder but anything that can make them flatter would be nice.
I know this is a really niche question 🥲 Any help is appreciated.

Fighting sleep

Any tips for a newborn baby that is fighting his sleep? I’m finding that from when my baby wakes up for his first morning feed he then won’t settle back down for several hours and fights going back to sleep. You’ll think he’s drifted off and then PING eyes wide open again, he’s then getting himself very overtired. He’s only 17 days old and he’s going 3-4 hours fighting his sleep, whatever we try doesn’t seem to work. Any tips of tricks to try are please welcomed!

Deflated

I have a 3 year old and 10 week old. Currently trying to get ready but having to feed, everything seems to take so long. I’m late for everything, my baby just cries so I’m constantly stopping and starting. I just put tv on for my 3 year old and she’s so good and just watches it. I’m late for everything, I need to start getting ready hours before I need to leave and I’m still always late or rushing 😣 I’m grateful but it’s hard.
