Hi! I’m a FTM and lately have been experiencing derealization/depersonalization. Some days it’s so bad other days not so much, I love my baby she’s my entire world and I’m so scared I’m losing my mind. I also have anxiety and most days hate to be alone because it just feels so heavy at home so I tend to leave the house a lot with her. Does anyone know why this happens and ways to help ? I’m meeting with a therapist in a couple weeks :( I just want to feel better.

You are not alone!!
I am also feeling g the same way. I am taking next year off to be a SAHM(dont get me wrong, I know this is a blessing and not eveyone has the option for this).
However, I am so nervous about being at home so much, I am going to feel so disconnected from the world..... I am trying to find ways to get out and do stuff....
That is awesome you are seeing someone, that is something I need to look into.

I dont know how this app works, but you can add if you need someone to talk to!

I would definitely reach out to get on medication to support this transition. You are not the only one and postpartum is extremely difficult. I went through postpartum psychosis myself, but having support even if it means a therapist or getting on medication sooner than later is definitely so helpful. I know it’s not one size fits all I’m so proud of you for taking the first step and seeking support you’re not alone. ❤️

And these feelings, do not mean you love your baby any less

We are 6 weeks in with my little boy. I adore him, he brings a smile face whenever I look at him.
However I do not think he is the centre of my universe.
I am a planet with multiple suns and my son is one of them perhaps one of the bigger ones but he is not the only sun in my life.
Is this unusual to say and feel ?

Hi all, question to mums out there who were/are exclusively pumping. When is it a good time to stop? I know everyone is different. However, my baby (4weeks) is currently comby feeding and she will have formula and pumped breast milk in a bottle. I know that the breast milk has a lot of good nutritions but having to pump up to 8 times a day can be a bit challenging. When do you know it's time to start reducing the pumping sessions and eventually stop? FYI my milk supply is not amazing so I usually get about 70-80ml per pump

Does anyone else feel like being a mum is so much more challenging than you expected it to be?! I don’t think I went into it naively but having said that I find myself struggling more than I thought I would. I am so tired and feel I can never catch up, I don’t recognise my life anymore and I miss the freedom of my old life at times and I thought I would be super nurturing and patient which I try to be but I also get so fed up and frustrated . The monotony of each day drives me crazy and I constantly criticise myself and wonder if I’m doing a good job or someone else would do it better, is this normal , I wonder sometimes if I have some ppd or anxiety but then I also think this may be normal for a new mum….
