My family is pretty limited screen time but if there’s a good nat geo docu series about a certain animal or something that’s usually what I go for :) I love it, my kids love it and are entertained. I think if you’re anti or limited screen time this is a great exception to the rule, esp on days where you’re limited to inside for whatever reason

Good depending on age

PBS Nature, BBC Earth, weather cameras, and nature cameras are in our lineup.

Since I’ve been pregnant my kids watch nature shows once a week (we have no family/help nearby). As long as it’s not super kiddie-ish I’ve actually found it to be a super fruitful use of screen time!

No, as far as screen time goes it’s obviously better than other options but it is still screen time.

For reference I am not 100% anti screen but i am conscious of what we watch and how much.
I think these sort of programmes are fine! Education can come through tv too. I personally like the SEN Satellite live stream from the ISS. If you're in the UK you can watch live via the ITV app and it also has nice chill music over the top (I like it to wind down to 🤣). You can also view it via YouTube. We try and see if we can catch it going over where we live and we wait for sunsets and sunrise cos they are beautiful! My son is 4 so he is able to engage properly with stuff now and asks lots of questions. I learn something new too half the time 🤣

It is OK, that type of content removes some of the risks of screen exposure. We watch them together and they find it interesting.

We are limited screen time and I’m conscious about what she watches, and we like to watch David Attenborough documentaries. She loves watching the animals and she can tell me then what the names of them are and I talk to her about what they’re doing on the programme to help her learn about them x
My best friend has a 5 year old and my daughter is 16 months old. My best friend is amazing with my daughter, and my daughter LOVES her so much. The problem I’m having is her son has a lot of behaviours, she’s in the process of trying to get help with him as they think he might be on the spectrum in some capacity. Her son loves my daughter and she loves him too. The issue is he is VERY aggressive, if he sees his mom giving any attention to my daughter then he’s throwing toys at her, pushing her over, going out of his way to hurt her and when we try to correct it he just laughs at us and gets worse and worse. I am not sure what to do. When he’s in a good mood they play so nicely but then something just switches and he will just terrorize her. I don’t know if we should keep having play dates but they love each other so much. I’m struggling. Has anyone had a similar situation and have any advice?

Does anyone find time to keep a clean & tidy house? Atm I just find time to keep the kitchen clean where baby's bottles are made and make sure he has clean clothes, my partner doesn't clean and it's been a bone of contention since we started living together he just says "it's tidy enough it's fine", I don't want to push the issue too much because he has helped a lotcwith the baby and me emotionally whilst I've struggled with ppd and I don't think I could bear the tension at home. Is anyone's home a palace with a newborn and it's just me 😂, I must add that he does do all the cooking tho, it's just annoying because when he has the baby I'm just catching up on chores and not relaxing or resting like I would want to.

My daughter just started nursery and is finding it really hard to adjust. Shes been on her keyworkers lap the whole day and also has been refusing snacks and food offered. I’m feeling extremely anxious for her, can someone please tell me it gets better or any advise to ease them into nursery

So I recently became a SAHM and I'm just curious how things are divided in yalls household. I'm primary caregiver, make the food and clean the home. Husband just works and comes home. We recently had a almost 10 week old. And occasionally he will help with bath time and take her for a few mins of the day. But I physically don't get a break. Unless baby is sleeping and usually I have other things to do at that point. I deserve a break too. My husband takes mental breaks out of his work and even gets some hours completely to his self. I refuse to just accept that this is how it is.
