Housework

Does anyone find time to keep a clean & tidy house? Atm I just find time to keep the kitchen clean where baby's bottles are made and make sure he has clean clothes, my partner doesn't clean and it's been a bone of contention since we started living together he just says "it's tidy enough it's fine", I don't want to push the issue too much because he has helped a lotcwith the baby and me emotionally whilst I've struggled with ppd and I don't think I could bear the tension at home. Is anyone's home a palace with a newborn and it's just me 😂, I must add that he does do all the cooking tho, it's just annoying because when he has the baby I'm just catching up on chores and not relaxing or resting like I would want to.

I don’t think anyone’s house is a palace with a newborn 😂 I personally can’t stand the house being a mess or untidy and really struggle with things not being in the right places, BUT it’s different with a newborn. I only do little cleaning tasks whenever baby is down for a nap or if he’s on his play mat. Little wins seem more practical that trying to exhaust yourself even more by getting everything done in one go. No one expects 5* standards with a newborn 👶

This is my daily battle. I also can only manage small short tasks like putting the washing on (but never getting round to folding it hanging out the washing) or bits and bobs of washing here and there. What I can manage entirely depends on how much my baby sleeps or cries, so really I get virtually nothing done most days! I can’t stand a dirty house and mess STRESSES me but I can’t really do anything about it so I just have to deal with it. My parter helps out and even then it’s still a mess most of the time. You are NOT alone.

Honestly I barely get time to eat enough to produce breast milk let alone anything else and I definitely don’t get time to sit down and relax or do anything for myself either, even when my partner does. Motherhood is TOUGHHH. At the moment I’m just surviving and accepting rather then fighting it

Same here with all of above and also trying to get time to express Breastmilk which also needs cleaning. I just do what I can whenever I can. I also give myself a day off. Pump milk feed and change baby on that day off that’s all and watch Netflix House can stay a mess laundry can wait another day only because I want to spend as much time with her as baby before it’s too late and she grows too fast. If I’m down I’m down I don’t fight it. Tomorrow if a different day and I’m usually doing the same thing over and over. CLEANING BABY BOTTLES. I’ve even had to take her with me to the toilet. Partner cooks only on Sunday but no cleaning etc may wash up dishes in the morning that I left from the night before. I have baby brain so nothing in my head is in order. Everytime I check the time 3 hour pasted I wonder what I’ve done and remember she needs feeding again.

Newborn toddler two dogs my house looks like it’s been burgled 90% of the time it’s driving me insane but we don’t have much help when toddler goes to bed I go to bed and partner has baby who is fussy on an evening it will get easier over time

The carrier has saved me most days when it comes to housework. Don’t get me wrong, the dog hair is rolling and we’re not talking about the excess use of the tumble dryer despite good weather but I can get done what I need and he’s usually asleep by the time I sit down to eat. Much easier to pee with him strapped to me as well🙈

Friends child

My best friend has a 5 year old and my daughter is 16 months old. My best friend is amazing with my daughter, and my daughter LOVES her so much. The problem I’m having is her son has a lot of behaviours, she’s in the process of trying to get help with him as they think he might be on the spectrum in some capacity. Her son loves my daughter and she loves him too. The issue is he is VERY aggressive, if he sees his mom giving any attention to my daughter then he’s throwing toys at her, pushing her over, going out of his way to hurt her and when we try to correct it he just laughs at us and gets worse and worse. I am not sure what to do. When he’s in a good mood they play so nicely but then something just switches and he will just terrorize her. I don’t know if we should keep having play dates but they love each other so much. I’m struggling. Has anyone had a similar situation and have any advice?

One year old starting nursery

My daughter just started nursery and is finding it really hard to adjust. Shes been on her keyworkers lap the whole day and also has been refusing snacks and food offered. I’m feeling extremely anxious for her, can someone please tell me it gets better or any advise to ease them into nursery

Question

So I recently became a SAHM and I'm just curious how things are divided in yalls household. I'm primary caregiver, make the food and clean the home. Husband just works and comes home. We recently had a almost 10 week old. And occasionally he will help with bath time and take her for a few mins of the day. But I physically don't get a break. Unless baby is sleeping and usually I have other things to do at that point. I deserve a break too. My husband takes mental breaks out of his work and even gets some hours completely to his self. I refuse to just accept that this is how it is.

Kindergarten

Any mom’s out there dealing with getting an IEP for their five year-old and having to wait 60 days for the process?
