Please go back to work!

Soo hubby was laid off about 2 weeks ago due to the company filing bankruptcy. He's been applying to places, but hasn't gotten any call backs or anything yet. I'm trying to be a supportive partner. I believe that his attitude and the way he acts is one of the main reasons he's not getting call backs. He's kind of made a name for himself as a hothead. He'll cuss you out, walk off the job, he just doesn't get along with a lot of people. There's always some issue. Still I try and be supportive. But this man once again implied tonight that our daughter (37 weeks btw) and due soon is going to look like my ex and youngest father. I'm so tired of him saying that!! It's annoying asf! First of all, if that was the case I would be with my ex. There's no way in hell I would be with hubby knowing that wasn't his child. I'm just venting to you ladies, and I know I'll get judged for this but y'all have no idea what I've been through with my husband. Our daughter is the main reason I'm still with him. Logically it doesn't make sense for me to be with him if the child wasn't his. It's not like he's making money, we're at risk for losing this apartment right now, he has an addiction/drinking problem, bad temper, some mental issues. Don't get me wrong I love him, but I need him to be realistic about this. I don't sleep around, so there's no one else's child this could be but it's still insulting. I would rather be alone and raise this baby than to do something grimey like that. It just makes me worry that he's already going to mess up his relationship with her by convincing himself that she belongs to someone else and idk if he realizes that bc he's too busy being a stupid smart ass. That's like me constantly making 'jokes' about him cheating. I would leave before I would ever let that shit consume my mind if I really felt that way. I just want him to go back to work! I'm tired of him being home tbh sitting around scrolling fucking tik tok. We haven't had sex in a few days which is unusual bc it's typically every day but I'm not even worried about it. I'm sure he's stressed and I am really not in the mood myself nor will I beg him to want me. I'd rather play with my rose. Sorry this is so long I just had to get it out.

Friends child

My best friend has a 5 year old and my daughter is 16 months old. My best friend is amazing with my daughter, and my daughter LOVES her so much. The problem I’m having is her son has a lot of behaviours, she’s in the process of trying to get help with him as they think he might be on the spectrum in some capacity. Her son loves my daughter and she loves him too. The issue is he is VERY aggressive, if he sees his mom giving any attention to my daughter then he’s throwing toys at her, pushing her over, going out of his way to hurt her and when we try to correct it he just laughs at us and gets worse and worse. I am not sure what to do. When he’s in a good mood they play so nicely but then something just switches and he will just terrorize her. I don’t know if we should keep having play dates but they love each other so much. I’m struggling. Has anyone had a similar situation and have any advice?

Housework

Does anyone find time to keep a clean & tidy house? Atm I just find time to keep the kitchen clean where baby's bottles are made and make sure he has clean clothes, my partner doesn't clean and it's been a bone of contention since we started living together he just says "it's tidy enough it's fine", I don't want to push the issue too much because he has helped a lotcwith the baby and me emotionally whilst I've struggled with ppd and I don't think I could bear the tension at home. Is anyone's home a palace with a newborn and it's just me 😂, I must add that he does do all the cooking tho, it's just annoying because when he has the baby I'm just catching up on chores and not relaxing or resting like I would want to.

Attention anti-screen time moms. How do we feel about nature channels?

Mostly On days where you can’t do anything outside without a heat stroke.

Using family names, dilemma!

My father passed away when I was a child. We used his name as our son’s middle name as a way for him to be connected to baby. My mum was very happy with this and so were me and my partner. I will say that my father’s name isn’t particularly a name I would’ve chosen otherwise as it’s not to our taste but won us over sentimentally.

My FIL openly asked me and my husband the other day if we will be using his name as our second son’s middle name. We had no intention of doing this and have already chosen another middle name. The middle name we have chosen is actually my husbands and FILs middle name (they have the same). We thought this was a way to connect both my husband and FIL to baby boy no2. My FIL seemed annoyed and said “is my name not good enough?”.

I have no idea how to approach this subject anymore, especially when my in laws keeps asking if I have finalised a name and seem to be off in tone when discussing a name.

For reference, my husband is their only child and thus these are their only grandchildren.

Thanks for any help with this situation! I don’t want to upset anyone but also want our decisions to be respected.

Question

So I recently became a SAHM and I'm just curious how things are divided in yalls household. I'm primary caregiver, make the food and clean the home. Husband just works and comes home. We recently had a almost 10 week old. And occasionally he will help with bath time and take her for a few mins of the day. But I physically don't get a break. Unless baby is sleeping and usually I have other things to do at that point. I deserve a break too. My husband takes mental breaks out of his work and even gets some hours completely to his self. I refuse to just accept that this is how it is.

17 and thinks she is grown

So today was my children’s first day back to school. My daughter who is 17 was telling me about the new rules at school in regards to cell phones. I told her I’ll call the school and give them a piece of my mind. Then she proceeded to call me in a nasty way a “fucking phyco”I calmly told her that she is being very disrespectful and I don’t appreciate it. Told my husband of 15 years what she said and he asked me if I was his child I said no then he said he is tired of being the referee between her and I. It’s only the first day of school and this is how we’re starting off. I’m so frustrated.
