Advice please !!

I felt exactly the same as you do when I had my elective section with my 2nd. I think its because I knew I was leaving my toddler behind to go to hospital. I think these feelings are completely normal so dont give yourself a hars time 😊 I used my own playlist in theatre to help calm me down and just tried to focus on seeing my baby for the first time. You have got this xx

I can tell you to keep calm I had my second C-section 2 weeks ago and in my experience it went better than my first

My elective c section was amazing! Very calm and a beautiful experience! X

Dont get me wrong i was terrified going into it but it was so much better than i thought, i also found my recover so easy x

I'm booked in for the 10th too and had my first in Nov 2022. Similar to you I was totally fine last time but I am SO nervous this time around... It's like knowing what it's like is making it so much worse even though I actually had a really nice experience with my first.

C sections are safe. Your doctor has done hundreds of them. Everything is controlled. You will meet baby in less than 15 minutes. You’ve done this before. You’ve recovered. You are
prepared!!

Honestly what helped me was the anticipating of hearing my baby cry for the first time and seeing her beautiful face. I just kept that at the front of my mind, and the nerves took care of themselves.
