Would you stay home and take the day off work or still go in?
We had a bit of an accident this morning where my son got burnt on the treadmill (in between/on one of his toes). We spent 6+ hours in emerg since it looked like it went down to the bone (it didn’t thankfully, just the top layer of skin) I work tomorrow though, I’m torn between staying home with him to make sure he’s doing okay/toe doing okay vs going to work and letting my in laws take care of him. He is doing okay, able to walk on his foot and all that but would you stay home or go into work?
I also don’t need to hear any negative comments from others, my own mind has done enough of that for myself today.

Have a treat day, go to the cinema, eat ice cream

Any opportunity to have time off work and spend it with your kid is a no brainer to me

If you can afford to call off that's fine but if you can't, go to work , he's fine , I could understand if he wasn't able to walk .
Not wrong if you want to call off just cause either - tired and exhausted 🤷🏻♀️

I’d advise to save that sick day for the future when he is really sick and needs you. If he’s walking ok and managing, I’d go to work and let him go to his grandparents’s house.

If it was a night shift and you spent the day in the ER, I'd say no. Since it's an entirely different day then go in and save the call in for a day when it's needed.

Stay at home ❤️❤️ even if it’s just too comforting for him . Even though he may not need you too much. It maybe more comfortable for him to do so
Can anyone tell me why people feel so entitled to not RSVP and still think they can show up let alone with their friends or their children’s friends who you don’t know . My family is crying and throwing a sissy fit because I sent this message but quite frankly I don’t see anything rude about it since I’m spending MY money to throw an event

My fiance has depression along with other conditions and it’s just a lot at the moment. This year has been a lot for us emotionally and financially but Its like he’s always getting on at me, looking for arguments, going through my phone, monitoring where I am etc. I can’t even have a social life! It was my close friends 25th at the beginning of the month and I missed it even though it was from 7 till late all because he hid the keys and said no. He doesn’t even trust me around gay men like I am trying but it’s becoming draining! I don’t want to be with him anymore but I feel bad for feeling this way 😔 when I spoke to my work friends they spoke as if this is what relationships are not always as fun especially when you’re older and that I shouldn’t nitpick so much because he’s going through a rough patch. Problem is I feel like I always get the bad end of the stick every single depressive episode!
I have been at my parents the last week almost and I feel even MORE stressed because he’s always texting me accusing me of cheating or doing something behind his back. We havent been engaged long now but gosh I want to cancel it already

I think its a difference in culture mainly but my MIL is very open in this sense and it makes me feel uncomfortable. She goes to the toilet infront of my daughter too and I really dont know how to feel about it. On one hand its educational, on the other hand I find my MIL quite unhygienic in general. Recently my partner has had to tell his Mum off for handling my daughters food with her hands after smoking, without washing her hands. And just smoking around her in general. My daughter can eat with cutlery and is doing well in general in her developments but I find my MIL still treats my daughter like a small baby and teaches her naughty things like mean faces, swear words, and generally teaching her to be mean to others. And other bad habits like watching youtube videos on her phone. This is just a few issues…
