My 7 week old seems to struggle sleeping at night unless it’s literally in my arms or in his swing chair in the evening, co sleeping isn’t an option for us as my partner is such a deep sleeper I just don’t feel comfortable with it so often I’m on the sofa with the baby, I’ve got a next to me crib and a Moses basket and he just seems to hate both of them! I’ve tried all different things, he transfers fine just doesn’t seem to sleep for long in them, maybe an hour max! But if he’s in my arms or swing he’s doing 2-3 hour stretches? Just not sure what to do!

It's normal lovely. They've spent 9 months in us listening to our heartbeat and we're their safe space. I promise it'll get easier. I think with my little one it was roughly month 3 when he started settling easier in his own space. Sending love x

My little girl is the same. She's 5 weeks old.. She settles fine in my arms but as soon as she's in her moses basket. She wakes up.. Its normal.. Hopefully soon your little one will settle..

It's really normal. I would co sleep still but baby needs to be on your side of the bed anyway until 4 months. Or partner sleeps on the sofa. You can't sleep with baby on the sofa so need to find another solution
My 5 week old is currently drinking 150ml every 3 hours but for the past few days he’s been showing hunger cues every 1.5/2 hours. On my kendamil tub it says 150ml is recommended for 3 month olds but I’m worried he’s not getting enough food. Do I up his formula to 180ml or keep topping him up? I worry if I just top him up each time he’s gonna end up drinking less more frequently as each top up we only give him 90ml as don’t want to overfeed him. Picture added of my squish 🥰

I have a cold, everyone in the house has had it. Our 3 year old caught it from nursery, quickly passed it on to our 5 month old and my husband. Somehow I managed to avoid it, I looked after everyone, 3yo was off nursery, sleepless nights with baby as she couldn't breathe in her bassinet so spent hours sleeping up on my chest through the night, so I had to be awake to let her sleep.
Now everyone is better and it has hit me like a ton of bricks. My eyes and nose won't stop running, my throat feels like I've swallowed shards of glass, and I'm still the one who got up at 6am with the kids, got both of them ready, took my son to nursery, ran errands, and then tonight I'm thinking finally when my 3yo goes to bed, I can go to bed too and my husband can watch the baby. Nope, he takes 3yo up to bed at 6. Usually he's asleep by 6.30. 7pm goes by and I'm thinking what is taking so long.. 7.15, 7.30pm... I finally go upstairs to check and my husband has fallen asleep in the bed with our son, and I can't risk waking our son. I tried getting my husband to wake but he was zonked out. So now I'm just sat here, I feel so utterly drained and in pain and all I want is to sleep and I'm just upset and mad that I'm always the one putting everyone first and making sure everyone has what they need and looking after everyone else and now I'm just sat here, baby crying, I'm crying, I just want a break for one evening.
Yes I should've taken 3yo to bed and then maybe it would've worked out better but my husband never falls asleep, I dunno why he did tonight because he's feeling better and slept in this morning.

Please tell me I’m not alone in this 😅 ever since my baby’s 16w jabs she has hit a sleep regression - fighting all day naps and impossible to get down for bed. Her feeding is all over the place and I can see she’s tired/grouchy but she fights every opportunity to sleep. She used to sleep 9-6. When does it get better? 😭😭

My nipples are like razor blades and I want to cry every time she latches on.
I have done everything I’m suppose too, I make sure she has a big open mouth, she leans her head back, I make sure the nipple goes to the roof of her mouth and I bring her head right in.
I’ve even had a breastfeeding specialist come out and help me.
Nothing I do works and I’m crying. I don’t want to do formula, I do express but even that hurts my nipples now.
I desperately want the connection of breastfeeding and I don’t know what to do.
Anyone experienced this or advice?
My baby is two weeks old.
I use silver cup shields and put breastmilk in them too.

Grandpa is gonna be babysitting my exclusively breastfed son who doesn’t use paci, feeds throughout the night, feeds for naps and is attached to my hip! Any advice as this is gonna be his first time away from me overnight! 😩 I’m questioning whether this is even possible!
