Hello, does anyone have advice? We’re on day 3 of potty training. We had day 1 naked, day 2 she stopped when she weed and walked to the potty so we tried her in training pants but since then she has started refusing to use the potty. We kept her naked the rest of yesterday but she continued to refuse.. Today is our final day before nursery tomorrow. We have her in normal pants, she knows she’s weeing and stops but refuses to go to the potty… any advice?!

May need to give more time and try again after 2💁🏾♀️

She might just not be ready yet. I have a little girl whose 2 in November and she isn’t anywhere near ready xxx

We managed to potty train our daughter in a weekend at 18 months, just had her naked all weekend and then at nursery asked for them to take her every half an hour to the potty. We tried our son at 18 months and it was a totally different experience - we then tried the weekend after he turned two and although he’s not fully got the hang of it, he’s responded to it much better! Hardly has any accidents at nursery in pants, doesn’t really have any accidents at home either and will take himself off to the toilet/let us know when he wants to go. I do still take him out in a nappy which I need to stop, as he doesn’t tell us really when he needs a wee in a nappy! Maybe you just need to give it a couple more months.
Neither of mine were necessarily showing very many ‘ready’ signs either so I don’t think it’s a case of waiting til they’re showing all the signs, but by waiting til 2 I realise how much of a battle it would’ve been if I carried on at 18 months with my son
Has anyone claimed for the funded hours under the impression that they would qualify but the not met the threshold? What happens? Do you just pay back the amount claimed or do you get fined/ in trouble?
I work in a supermarket and been there since May, they said they could only give me a 10hr contract but because I’m available 2 days a week they would give me more hours. When my daughter started at her childminder I asked to increase my contract to 16hrs and they said they don’t offer a contract for 16hrs but they said they would rotate me to 16hrs each week so I qualify and they have stuck to this.
My issue is when I take holiday I’m only paid at 10hrs and if they aren’t busy on my work days then they ask me to go home half an hour early as essentially I’m over my hours each week but 6hrs. Any advice? I spoke to the funded hours people and they were so rude and made me feel awful about myself.

He puts my daughter to sleep now cause she just wants to play when I try to. And I needed his car keys to get something from the car and they were in the room where he’s putting my daughter to sleep. So I texted him and he didn’t reply like he usually does so I thought they both might asleep so I opened the door and I ended up waking f her up as soon as she was about to finally fall asleep and ruined it… now he’s texting me saying how he’s furious and that I ruined everything and wasting even more of his time having to pay her back to sleep and he’s so angry… i admit I fucked up and should’ve just waited but is he overreacting??

For example, you can't hug the children you coach. You have to try to remain a physical distance to cover yourself because things happen and he/she said won't cover your job. You're also not a teacher or school aid and don't want the kids looking at you as anything other than "coach." I imagine a 5 year old is more than excited to have an adult they're comfortable with as their school coach and will want everyone else to be jealous 😂 especially this 5 year old.

My child 5 years old in Kindergarten has behavior problems in school possibly adhd and high anxiety and also hitting. We are in the process of getting an IEP but it takes 60 days. Our IEP meeting is oct 26. Every single day we bring him HES excited to go to school. Every day at 9:30am the school tells us we have to pick him up bc he’s he’s hitting and trying to elope and aggressive. The school starts at 8:30 and they say he can’t be in class for more than 30-1 hr.. why would I keep bringing him if he’s in school for 1-2 hrs and the school says they don’t have anyone to be with him or help him and they won’t let us help and be at the school. Im also waiting for aba services i also have him in okay therapy and don’t know what else to do besides keep him home wait for aba and call the school district or other resources to help have more support bc the school cant do anything for him. VERY Overwhelming.

My 13 month old hasn’t really started solids yet. She’s stuck on purées, I have tried sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, waffles, carrots, bananas. she’s not curious in eating any food other than the purée food pouches. She won’t even try tasting other foods. I tried putting the purée on top of new foods, but she started spitting it out or choking. She also is not interested in trying the foods we are eating when we are eating. Does anyone have advice ?
