Baby girl is 4 weeks old now, partner has gone back to work and the fact that dad's only have 2 weeks is borderline cruelty. 2 days in and I hate that I have to choose between feeding myself, doing chores and hyping myself up to go get food. I have a fomo baby so we have to deal with 3h wake windows combined with the witching hour and overtireness screaming. I almost had a breakdown yesterday. I know it will get better but don't help cope now š it's one day at a time.

Iām in the same boat as you, but my little one is 3 weeks old, cluster feeding and only contact nappingš
Just keep telling myself that this will get easier and wonāt last forever

Dreading my partner going back to work next week! They should 100% have the same leave rights as the women - though mat pay is rubbish really we couldnāt both be on it!
Just try and be kind to yourself, just getting through the day is an achievement ! Anything like having a shower etc is a massive bonus. Itās just a phase (I keep repeating to myself during a cluster feed)

My husband goes back to work tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it at all. Our baby is 3 and a half weeks old and she doesnt settle well at night, last night I got maybe 4 hours across the entire night and thats just because her dad took her from about 7

Forget the chores, don't stress about the not important things. Can your partner make you snacks/packed lunch before going to work? Or make night before, get comfy on the sofa and enjoy the cuddles, they don't last forever.x

Same here, heās gone back to work and has to leave at 5:30am. On top of that I have a 6&4 year old that need getting to school in the morningš®āšØš timing a feed and getting ready for school Iām stressing about tbh, the past 3 days have been okay but i know its not going to be smooth every morning. This morning she was due at 8:30am so i gave her a quick ounce at 8:20am then we had to leave. Iāve also found myself to be eating absolute rubbish like biscuits and crisps just because theyāre quickš my partner is exhausted from work and the early starts and baby is awake 7-12 every nightš„ŗ. People say it gets easier but Iāve been waiting since I had my first in 2020 for it to get easier lmao

My husband had luckily, for noe anyway, decided not to do overtime as he used to do 12 hours shifts, but now is going to do 8 hours but his shifts change each week and so there will be weeks when im completely alone at night and some weeks were he is up at half 4 so needs to be able to sleep. Ive seen people say its easier at 8 weeks but I dont know how we are expected to make it to then. We combi feed as well now because the cluster feeding was just too much
I work 3 days a week, in which my daughter goes to nursery. My partner leaves for work at 5am, so the whole process of getting up, ready and out the house is all on me. I only have a 15 month old but iām struggling so much to be able to get myself ready and keep her distracted. How are we all managing this?
Sheās into everything and in that stage where I canāt take my eyes off her, which makes it even impossible to brush my teeth.
Sheās not predictable with her wakes, especially at the min as weāre going through an awful sleep regression, some days she wakes at 4am others 6am so trying to get up and ready before her isnāt really possible.
I donāt allow a lot of screen time and because of this she doesnāt really sit in front of the tv as iāve tried this also.
Any help appreciated š

Interested to know if you donāt actually need to sleep train to eventually get a child that sleeps š my 8 month old gets held to sleep and placed in cot but heās up a lot in the night until eventually he settles in our bed around 4;30am. Iām happy to do this with the hopes that one night heāll just sleep through or am I wishful thinking š

I know itās typically advised that the first wake window of the day is the shortest and the last one before bedtime be the longest but it seems itās the opposite for my LO?
Shes 4 months and no matter when I start trying to wind her down for her naps she always falls asleep at the 2 hour mark (almost always on the dot). Her last ww before bedtime is then 1.5 hours most of the time. But then sheās waking up every 2 hours so could she be overtired?
Is this normal? Is there anything I should be doing differently?

I'm 10 weeks postpartum and went to the doctor yesterday for our Mother and Baby check. When it got to me, the doctor said "can you lift up your stomach so I can see the scar" š¤£š
...loool the way a little bit of me died inside. It's barely even an overhang and my stomach has healed really well! There's no flap. I found it funny but also a bit of a gut punch because it's taken me all 10 weeks to adjust to my new body, appreciate it for all it's done, given me, and start to accept/like it again. Any new mums had similar scenarios or finding it a struggle to adapt to liking your new mum body post C section?
