What helped me was just putting myself out there CONSISTENTLY. I take my daughter to gymnastics, a music mom class, and story time at the library. I just kept showing up even if I didn’t speak to anyone and eventually the little ones (aka the kids interacting with each other) helped in a sense just opening up to the mom… please know I get it and it still takes a lot for me to just say hi but you can do this… little by little … also you would be surprised how many stay at home moms feel just like us 💜 (sorry I didn’t proof)

Just came here to say girl me too! You are not alone. I’ve always been a bit shy but I used to have a ton of friends and would always be hanging out with someone, started slowly isolating and now I’m so nervous to go hangout with people but I miss having a tribe it’s lonely! Just wanted to say though that you are not alone and getting out little at a time is worth it. I would come hangout with you if I could. You’ve got this girl, your true friends will understand and accept you where you are at while you get comfortable around them. I think it’s just the initial meeting new people and then being consistent enough to get fully comfortable again can be a hard cycle to break but you’ve got this. Don’t give up or be hard on yourself. That is my favorite personality type lol

Following cause I need the same advice. The worst part is everyone thinks I'm extroverted because of my personality. 🫣 So I don't think the other women at church see me as someone who needs a little extra encouragement to branch out.

Start out making small steps toward putting yourself out there. Keep showing up to things even if you are nervous and shy. It will eventually feel less hard. Keep trying to make small talk, like give a compliment. Remember that failure doesn't mean you aren't worthy or did anything wrong. Keep pushing yourself, and you will find your people.

Ladies help. Me and my husband just don't have sex anymore.

After the baby we had sex a few times in the first few months but now it's probably been about 3 months since we last had sex. I'm 11.5 months postpartum. My sex drive used to be low. It ain't super high now but I want sex but my husband is always tired. Granted he worked shifts and it's been hard trying to find time to fit it in around baby's schedule and his work schedule but now he's off work for a couple of weeks and he just doesn't initiate. Neither do I anymore because I can't be asked with the rejection. So I've resorted to masturbating and a vibrator but I want some real flesh man I'm bursting. I posted on another chat before and ladies said he sounded depressed etc as he doesn't look after himself well with eating and always being tired but how do we get out of this rut? Other aspects of our marriage is good but sex is important and at this point I feel like I'm begging.

Would you have an issue if your male partner made a new female friend?

So not someone he knew before he met you, just a new person that he met through work, hobbies, mutual friends or whatever, and became friends with.
Assuming the new friendship is the same as his existing friendships, and the ONLY difference is that the new friend is a female

Does seeing others achieve /do well motivate you in life?

I know when I see others doing great and doing what I want to do it should motivate me to think I can also be like them and achieve but it just has the opposite effect on me and makes me depressed. Not for lack of trying but because some aspects in my life are not changing for the better as quick as I would like. How to get out of this rut and maybe stop being envious/jealous?

Who else gets a worse week before you start? I know it happens and I know it will be like this all the time, it’s just I can’t help it and just feel so sad and depressed all the time with it. I have my happy moments but then I just get sad. Little things upset me or I think I’m the problem. This is the time where I need someone to vent to or just talk to. This app yes connects us with people but we never really hit it off like some say they do. I may be getting old for this…I’m 34 and still have no friend. I have lived in my town for 8 years and I still don’t have someone I can call or text. I pray so much for a friendship…when will it be me??
