Relief Techniques
1. Bicycle legs: Lay your baby on their back and gently move their legs in a pedaling motion, or push their knees toward their tummy for a few seconds to help release trapped air.
2. Tummy massage: Rub your baby's belly using smooth, clockwise circular motions or trace the letters "I," "L," and "U" on their abdomen.
3. Frequent burping: Pause to burp your baby during and after feedings by holding them upright against your chest or shoulder and patting their back gently.
4. Tummy time: Place your baby on their stomach for short, supervised sessions when they are awake and not actively digesting a full meal.
5. Warm bath: Give your baby a warm bath to relax their tense abdominal muscles

Was I rude ? Or was the nursery staff member rude?
My 3-year-old came home from nursery on Friday with a red bump behind her ear. When I asked what happened, she told me that another boy hit her with a toy car and also hit her on her back.
I messaged the nursery and said:
āAlso just wanted to say that when my daughter came home from nursery on Friday, I noticed she had a bump behind her ear and was red. I asked her what happened, and she said another boy hit her with a toy car and also hit her on her back.
I appreciate that children can have accidents in nursery and itās impossible to eliminate everything, but I was concerned as it was on her head.
I would also appreciate if you could supervise their interactions a little more closely, particularly given the previous concerns we discussed about my daughter feeling uncomfortable around the same child and the child being rough with her before the summer break.
I know children will have disagreements and accidents, but would like to make sure my daughter feels safe and that any incidents are picked up and communicated to me.ā
The teacher replied:
āOK mum I was with her for most of the day on Friday and not once did her and the other child be near each other.ā
How would you interpret the nurseryās response? Do you think the teacher is simply saying that she personally didnāt witness them together, or does it come across as dismissing what my daughter told me? And was my original message reasonable, or did I come across as accusing the nursery/child?

I feel like a horrible mom, because I know I should take my 20 month old girl out almost everyday but I donāt feel like it at all. Firstly I work night shifts ( 4 nights in a week, some 3 nights back to back, 1 day off and the last night).
when I come back home i only get 2 hours sleep and I have to look after her because she hasnāt started nursery, make food and so on. My partner is just annoying and doesnāt help even when heās currently not working right now. I still have to do everything for her.. and then Iām so tired and donāt feel like going out for a walk or any play gym.
I donāt know but I feel like Iām doing a bad job and not being a good mom at all.

So Iāve come downstairs from settling our LO to sleep and start talking about putting in an extra nap during the day and moving bedtime later as LO has been foul the last 3 nightsā¦ā¦ please tell me why my other half starts talking about his grass and I let him know Iām not interested and I donāt care so he asks why and I said I have more pressing stuff going on that takes priority over admiring the grass and the audacity of this man he comes out with āitās not that hardā and I say what and he says ābeing a motherāā¦ā¦ā¦. I nearly hit the roof, not once in 15 weeks has this man settled our LO at night time and heās done 2 just 2 midnight feeds and woke me during themā¦ā¦ I would love for this man to try ābeing the motherā and then tell me itās not hardā¦ā¦ I genuinely feel like a single parent with a partner š®āšØ

If youāre a stay at home mom or wife whose kids are in school all day what do you expect husband/partner to
help with if anything? My husband works a lot with his job so I donāt want to be ungrateful but I am genuinely curious to see how spouses break up responsibilities in the household. All my kids are currently in school. I do have a job at night but itās part time and very easy so itās not burning me out and I do get to sleep as itās home health but during the day I mostly have time to myself.

People in my life act as though as I'm not doing enough as a mother and wife or that I'm putting too much on my husband. I'm a SAHM and my husband works full time and we have two kids. He either does our grocery shopping alone, takes one of our kids, or we all go together as a family. If just one of our kids have a doctor appointment he will take them on his own and I'll stay home with the other kid. He does laundry, he picks up rooms, he vacuums, he wipes things down, he does dishes, he cooks, and I do these things as well. He plays with our kids, teaches them, does bath time, does bedtime routines, and so do I.
I'm frequently finding people feel bad for my husband when they hear about all that he does. Most of the time it's women telling me they feel bad for him and giving me unsolicited advice on what I can do to make life easier for him. Am I truly not doing enough in my role or is this an issue of gender roles and stereotypes? Or possibly even jealousy?

Hi ladies, I'm looking for some advice. I've tried breathing exercises, tea, loooong walks (I think that's what has helped me the most), I go to the gym whenever I can (2 or 3 times a week), and still I feel like I'm doing it all wrong.
I'm feeling extremely guilty for everything I do, everything I'm not doing, I feel like a terrible mom but I know objectively I'm not. Also I get frustrated so easily, my baby is almost 10mo and teething, and he's not sleeping good, I know nothing is his fault, he's a perfect cute little baby, but I can't help to get frustrated and I just want to cry and pull my hair out.
Sorry for the long rant, I just feel very lonely and have no one who could possibly understand what I'm going through. If you have any advice, or kind words I'm very grateful and happy to read you!
