Gestational Diabetes

This is my second time with GD. You’d only need to have baby come early if you were put on medication, or if baby measures too small or too big, or if there’s an issue with your placenta (which can happen with GD) assuming you’re able to remain diet controlled right up until the end, they’ll leave you to it until 40 weeks +5 days.

In my first pregnancy i was diet controlled up until 36 weeks, at the end of pregnancy your hormones can make it impossible to control your sugars with diet, because of that i had an induction set for 38 weeks (c-section would have been 39 weeks)

I was induced at 39 weeks, but it took a week and she came on her due date (vaginal birth).
I was put on metformin almost immediately and also had to inject insulin at bedtime so it was made clear to me that they would not want me going past my due date for those reasons.

This is my second pregnancy and second time with GD. Am on metformin and testing my sugars through out the day. Its annoying. First time they tried induction at 38weeks but ended up doing emergency C Section. Not sure whats gonna happen with this pregnancy yet though.

I was on metformin and insulin which kept being increased so I was meant to be induced w38 but baby girl knew how much I wanted to go natural and she came on her own terms ❤️

I had it with my 1st only needed diet control i was told i should have an early induction but i said i wanted to go to term and if i needed a section then so be it

He came 40+1 vaginally 8.2lb i had a 3rd degree tear but he did come very fast without pain relief
