How often is your partner with you and the baby/helping?

I have a question so my daughter just turned a year-old, my husband is constantly at work. He works approximately 12 hours a day five days a week and spends about eight hours out of the house every weekend doing miscellaneous tasks for work and hangs out with friends. I wanted to see if anyone else deals with this? I don’t have really much help at all with my daughter aside from my husband and every now and then other people and I wanted to see if it was just me and if this is too much to bear? It’s definitely a handful and I really feel like I’m alone, but I’m not sure if I’m just being a baby about this or what but I see a lot of other moms and they have the help from their partner and they do family activities together frequently and even go away which I did not have the privilege of experiencing and it’s really ultimately just at the end of the day me and my baby.

Also want to add he does absolutely no cleaning/dishes/cooking. Discusses with me that this is my job only while his job is earning money for us to live on, but is it too unreasonable wishing he’d help when I stay up until 12am nearly every day cleaning after everything? He doesn’t even do yard work and spends his free time instead with his friends, playing on his phone or video games or picking up work & when he is with the baby I cannot do anything like read/get ready to workout/etc because of how constantly he calls out for help and an extra set of hands. I do this every day & manage to go to the bathroom while she’s in my care it’s not rocket science.

My partner works 7.5 hours, 5 days a week. Leaves at 8.45 and home by 5.

He spends every evening and weekend with us. We are never apart as a family x

Have you talked to him about it? The feelings and what you need?

We have 3 children, 14,10,1
Husband is out 7:30-7:30 5x a week. He comes home and does whatever needs doing. Washing up, ironing, putting the kids to bed. It's his house and family too

Sorry he's gone all day and then hangs out with friends on weekends? That's ridiculous. You're basically a solo mom at that point.

I am in the same boat.
My partner has just opened a restaurant/takeaway, and works from 10am-12am everyday. He’s just started to try and take Wednesday afternoons off, but it’s all dependent of his staff and if they can manage.
I have found it a really hard adjustment for me and my 4 month old, but I understand why my partner is doing it, to ensure that we are okay. When his staff are capable, he will step away even more. It is alot of work, with my son and the housework, and being on my own most of the time, so it’s nice to also know that there’s other people that can relate xx

My husband works 9-4/5, thankfully. And he is with our son in the mornings, does daycare drop off. And helps with pickup when he works from home (3 days a week, around 4/4:30). He is with us all evening from whenever he finishes work to when the baby goes to bed. He is with us every weekend. From morning to night.

I do think our situation is a bit weird. We share all the same friends. So if we do hangout with friends, we do it together. Our son is 2 and my husband has never left to go hangout with friends. The only times he’s left us are for work events (ex: company Christmas party, travelling for work out of town, etc).

So while I think our situation is unique, it is healthy for couples to have alone time. But if he’s going to see friends, then you should too (without the baby).

There should be a middle zone between my husband being home all the time and your husband who is out all the time haha.

My partner works 5 days a week. 8 until 4:30. He takes care of our 15 month old from when he finishes work until I get home from work (I work 3 days a week 8-6:30). He didn't used to do much else in terms of giving me a break so we implemented 1 morning each weekend we each get the morning 'off'. So he has Saturday morning off to recuperate from his working week and I get Sunday mornings. It's actually so nice to have that morning to do my hobbies or whatever I want to do. X

My boyfriend works 7 days a week, on a farm with maybe 1-2days off a year. Most nights he isn't home until after our daughter is in bed and during seeding/harvest seasons he isn't home until early morning hours (1-4am) and then back out after a few hours of sleep.

We live on the other side of the country from both of our families so it's just me and my daughter 95% of the time. He doesn't have the time to do anything around the house. I do EVERYTHING, I care and raise our daughter, I take care of and raise our dogs, I do all the cleaning, the laundry, the shopping, the yard work, I pay for everything for my daughter and myself. He only pays the rent and for his personal bills.

You are not being a baby! It is extremely difficult to do it all on your own ♥️ I’m I guess used to it by now because it has always been this way since the moment we got together and we had discussed me solo parenting when we starting trying to conceive.

Need to vent

Sorry for the rant but I need to get it off my chest to people who hopefully understand my point of view.

My husband works a Mon-Fri job 7.30am- 5.00pm. This week has been their stock take so he's stayed behind Tues, Wed, Fri and worked Saturday. I've got a growth scan booked for Tuesday next week and I've asked him 3 times to come and he says he can't get time off work. And just for context he is the manager at his work.

Am I being unreasonable in thinking he should spare 2 hours to come to the hospital with me?

From my point of view, what if I have the scan and something is wrong? Then I'm by myself and he's over an hour away from the hospital.

Or do I just need to suck it up and go by myself.

Blowjob Help!

The title says it all... I need help with my blow job skills! I absolutely suck at sucking. My husband doesn't complain but he also hasn't actively asked for one since we were dating. I know my entire adult life I haven't been good at them but I feel like I want to be better. How did y'all learn? Do y'all have any suggestions? They make me feel incredibly powerful and sexy but it hurts sometimes that he doesn't want one. Maybe it's the pregnancy hormones that have me all twisted but I am desperate. Any advice would be amazing!

Potty training

Hey guys I have a 3 years and 9 months old daughter and she is potty trained but yet she only wants to poop in her diaper. I am so frustrated and don’t know what to do. If I won’t put the diaper on she won’t poop for a day or two. I feel like a bad mother.

Any tips please
