Advice on Christmas!?

So my MIL has had it out for me since day one as I have a child from a previous relationship!!

I then got with my partner who I have been with for 8 years!!! We have had two beautiful boys, my MIL doesn’t want anything to do with my daughter (from the old relationship) so today she sends me a lovely paragraph saying that she’s cut all ties with me and all of my children which in kind has failed to have a relationship with my daughter (she’s 5) my son is 2 and my youngest is 2 months) my husband shouldn’t be married to me as she doesn’t like how I’ve had a baby out of a previous relationship!?

So this is where Christmas comes along! As it’s fast approaching, what do you do for Christmas, this is our first Christmas with our 3rd born, my partner wants to go over his mums house (which I’ve told him he can go just without me and the children) he’s said that whatever he’s decided will be his choice, so I’m coming on here what did you do for your Christmas when you officially hate your MIL

I would just do as you said and let him go over there by himself and stay home with my kids. I just had a baby last year around Christmas time, so this year will be our first real Christmas as a family together. We have been no contact with his mother for going on 6 months and I don’t plan on going around for any special holidays with my daughter but I encourage him to go ahead by himself to all family events. She however doesn’t invite him and makes him feel like a black sheep in his own family which is evil behavior.. hence why my daughter and I do not go around her

You stay at home. Let your husband go by himself. As the kids grow up, let them know how dad rather spend time with grandma on Christmas than with them. Let them know grandma doesn’t want them. Also reassure you will always love them above anything else.

Have you guys gone to marriage counseling yet? If your husband has a pattern where he prioritizes his mom over you and the children. That is something you guys need to work on. Kids are very smart. They will pick up something doesn’t feel right. Dad and mom both need to be their safe people and prioritize them.

Reception school (don’t judge pls)

Hello mama’s

I feel bad I haven’t sent my eldest 4 year old to reception. The reason I have done so is, he can’t put on his coat, socks, shoes, or trousers. I help with that and it’s my fault because I find it easier to get done with as I have 2 younger kids.

I don’t want my child to be a burden to the teachers and for them to do a job that’s suppose to be a parents job to teach their kids.

I also came from a family where all my siblings and myself started from year and skipped reception as well as nurseries.

I really want to break that cycle but I’m also scared to send him to school. Any mothers on the same boat and what did you do to deal with situation?

Prior to my eldest, I had 3 miscarriages and I’m scared of loss. I don’t want him to get hurt.

Early weaning

I know this will divide people but I’ve been buying the 4 month old food pouches for my 4 month little boy and giving him a little as he was showing an interest.
Has anyone else done this or any advice or tips and tricks

Help

My 2.9 is being a devil.

Like it's becoming unbearable. Screaming at me, back chating, crying screeching when she doesn't get her way. Never listens. Nursery is also having a hard time with her.

I recently had a baby. How do I manage her behaviour when nothing works. Nothhhhing works.

When is this tantrum phase over....

Parents of 2 or more boys

My first is a girl, she is 4 and is a dream. My son is 3, as the weeks go by he is getting more and more boisterous, high energy, won't listen, lashes out when he's kicking off, throws absolutely everything, destroys pretty much anything he touches. I'm currently pregnant with my second boy..and I'm terrified to be honest. The idea of having two boys, 3 years apart, is really filling me with dread. I wouldn't say I'm a natural boy mum, I've really tried to embrace all the boy things he likes and try to understand boys more so I can do right by him, but I will say it doesn't come naturally to me, I do it because I love him so much.

Has anyone got two boys? What are your experiences? I want to feel better about having two, but I'm open to all experiences!

And if anyone has any advice on how best to bring high energy chaotic boys up, I'm all ears!

10m biter

Hi looking for some advice!
My 10m old has decided to cut four teeth all at the same time 🙃 she obviously in discomfort & thankfully teething powder are working wonders for her.

However since she started cutting these four she has started biting - thankfully just me & her dad.
We’ve started telling her “no biting” or “no teeth” & give her a toy to bit instead of us which sometimes works.

Is there anything else anyone can suggest for us I would hate for her to bite anyone else at playgroups etc.

Baby starting solids!

Hi all! We just got back from our 4-month pediatrician appointment, and they mentioned that we can start introducing food! I was a little surprised because I always thought you were supposed to wait until 6 months 😅

have you started solids yet, or are you planning to wait? If you did start around 4 months, how did you begin and what foods did you start with? Any advice or tips would be appreciated! 🥹🤍
