My husband works during the week and I’m on mat leave. I start my LO bedtime routine at 8pm and she needs to be held to sleep (she’s 12 weeks) so basically my bedtime has now become the same as hers. During the week he doesn’t get up at night to help with the baby because of work and he needs his rest but on the weekends he stays up all night playing video games and will complain that he couldn’t sleep.
I feel like if he’s up anyway, he could help with putting her to sleep but since she’s EBF, he will use the excuse that he can’t feed her so he can’t. Is it fair for me to be upset about this?
Edit: will also add that on weekends , he will wake up around 2pm but then will spend a few hours with her and encourages me to do something for myself. But it’s the nights that get me!

It's perfectly fair for you to be upset.
Is he 12??
He could easily have the baby until he goes to bed and let you have some rest.
You might not be working outside of the home but you need to be able to function the next day so you do need some rest

This is not good. I think you need to have a clear and direct communication that child is not only yours, just because he is working in the day doesn’t mean he has got off duty from being a father. You are also working in the day with the baby. You could do alternate night each, so that both gets rest.

I don’t blame you for being upset, he could certainly take the baby so you can get some rest.
You still need to look after yourself too! Maybe have a chat with him about his gaming.

Yes i would be fuming

I work full time and game alot. I just wait until the kids are asleep first 😅

Ive had a go at my partner for being more invested in gaming then supporting me during my pregnancy. So far he has been supportive and has been bonding with the bump but it took me multiple attempts to get through to him once even telling his buddies online who also told him that this isnt something he should prioritise, he needs to prioritise the fact he is about to be a dad and that is more important than some games. He still ends up occasionally going back on but i still tell him off few times and other times i allow him to rest and stay up gaming. But that is definitely not a husband, that is a child.

My husband and i are both gamers. If i don't play, he doesn't play. I used to pump especially so we can do shifts at night (i quit and he is on formula now). If either of us has a hard shift and the baby is being fussy, then we're both up and helping eachother, otherwise each to their shift and the other is sleeping.
It's OUR baby. Teamwork💖

Sounds similar with my boyfriend who is a gamer - I do all the night feeds so he is rested for work but I pump.
My LO goes down around 8pm after I do bedtime routine and normally go to bed around 11pm. He stays up to around 2am on his game but it's an agreement that he plays "pausable" games. So he can stay up, but its his shift and if she needs a bottle/changing/a cuddle that's his time so I can get a good amount of sleep between her usual wake up (she usually stirs at 12,2 and 4ish). So maybe come to that as an agreement?
Wanting advice on co-sleeping , do you co sleep with your baby and where does your partner sleep? We have co slept since baby was 1 month old and partner has slept on the sofa, she is now 3 months old and I’m starting to miss my partner

My little one has started waking up with a dry nappy overnight, but then has a big wee after feeding. Is this normal, and do I need to be concerned? Would love to hear from you all.
She has lots of wet nappies through the day and is having plenty of her milk/bottle through the day. She is 5 and a half months old.
Thanks all

Hi mummas, I am honestly at a complete loss. My 9 month old is waking up every single night completely wet through. I have tried everything - Pampers (baby dry, premium protection & pull ups), Rascals & Peachies. I’ve tried different sizes of each brand. I’ve tried no vest. I’ve tried adjusting the way I put on the nappy. I’ve even tried putting on two nappies. Absolutely nothing is working. Has anyone else been in this situation? If so, what did you do please?!

My daughter is eight months. She’s been crawling for a month now. Starting to get into things and grabbing things. Starting to throw herself back and cry when she doesn’t get her way. When do I start telling her no and letting her cry it out? Usually I hand her a toy or put on a show she likes. She already kind of listen to me. Example whenever we’re in the living room she crawls towards my cart I have set out for me with her stuff on it, I’ll say her name She’ll turn her around and look at me. I’ll tell her to come here/back and she’ll come. She knows the sign for milk and play so she’s very smart I just don’t know when I should start telling her no and be firm cause I’m not sure she understand that yet. I hope I make sense lol
