Advice for morning sickness?

Hi! I’m approaching 8 weeks with my second! With my first pregnancy I had ZERO morning sickness and honestly the best pregnancy ever- symptom free and thriving! However, this time around the morning sickness is kicking my butt ALL day! Any tips/tricks mamas? 🙏🏽

Ask your doctor for zophran anti nausea medication? I did that because I lost 12 pounds from throwing up. Then I did better for the rest of the pregnancy. I hope and pray you feel better soon.

Gatorade, electrolytes, gravol.. meds from your doctor.. rest. Dark rooms. Eating small frequent meals all day long. Rest. Lots of rest and sleep!

Lemon helped me. Smelling it, drinking it. Smelling ginger makes it a bit better too.

I always kept snacks on me so if I ever started to feel like maybe I was getting nauseous I could have some snacks and then usually it would help a little bit. Fruit snacks and granolas bars were always with me.

Also carbs right away in the morning. I feel like if I ever tried to be healthier and have fruit for breakfast the acidity on a mostly empty stomach would always trigger my morning sickness so I started sticking to toast or bagels.

For me it's important to stay hydrated and keep my blood sugar stable. Eat small meals frequently, make sure you're getting protein in your meals. Don't drink water at the same time as eating, waiting 30 mins or so on either side. I can't drink plain water but electrolyte packs work, lemon juice, or coconut water added. Ginger candies, morning sickness sweets, and preggo pops with vitamin b6 all help.
And you just have to find what food you can tolerate. Best of luck, I hope that helps a bit.

Snacks in your bag, also carried a vomit bag in my bar gave me peace of mind.

I took unisom (Doxylamine) for morning sickness my whole pregnancy and zofran as needed. I was one of the unlucky few who are sick the whole time (unlikely to happen to you!). Talk to your OBGYN for medication recommendations. If you take zofran just be aware it can male you very constipated but it does help

Slow labour?

So i went in for my sweep today, i am 39+6. Baby is 3/5 engaged. I was already around 4cm dilated but NOT in active labour. Ive been having cramps for the past 2 weeks and honestly feel like the sweep did absolutely nothing🙂. I lost my mucus plug and that was about it. I feel like this baby just doesnt want to come out. Im tired and so over it. The pain is absolutely just tiring me out however everytime i go to triage to get it checked out they say its normal. I have tried everything and anything at this point. Is anyone else in the same boat or is it just me

C-sections

If you have had multiple sections, which did you find the easiest recovery wise?

I found my second a lot harder than my first as the operation was longer. Worried if I had a third, it would be even more difficult.

Induction…

Soooo, I was really against inducing after my first baby as it was not a nice experience at all!!
But due to a change in medical conditions I’m having to be induced this week now as I want to avoid a c section due to being on my own with the kids throughout the week.

I’m just wondering if anyone else has had second time round a better experience few mums at school have said it’s a lot quicker second time round.

I’m just wondering as I now have to sort out care for my 5 year old as I was in for over a week with her😩
