Hi, how is everyone’s nursery policy for their kids when they have a temperature? Do they give them calpol and observe and then tell you to come collect them if calpol doesn’t work or do they call you straight away from having a bit of temperature (37.7) to come collect them right away?

My little one isn’t in nursery, but I used to work in them, in private we always called to advise if temp, give calpol and observe for 30 mins with parents being asked to collect if no better in that time. In a council nursery it was calling straight away and asking to collect with a temp!

if i remember correctly my daughters nursery with a temperature i have to collect her straight away

My two children are at seperate nurseries. One asks for collection straight away (but offers calpol whilst they wait for you), the second ring to let you know, give calpol and monitor - If the temperature goes down and they're fine in themselves they stay, if not they need collecting.
Oh wow very different from place to place… my baby is teething bad so he’s been having temperatures and nursery keeps telling us to go collect him straight away even though he’s completely fine

There not supposed to give calpol anymore as someone who has worked in a nursery its only things provided from a doctor , if they have calpol they are also not allowed in for 24 hours (nusery policy) so if they have a temp we get a phone call to pick them up and then 24/48 hours off

Teething doesnt give temperature. Its likely he has something like a virus x

We’re having a mare. Sticking to 48 hours. Our little boy since the 2nd August I think has done 4 Tuesdays- Friday weeks. Every other one sent home. Sick, S&D, temp. Just today again fallen ill. All anyone can say is he’s just getting the germs. Mums intuition he’s poorly beyond picking up Illnesses. Literally me and my husband are running the whole is going to get called into HR first for excessive time off. No calpol allowed so they can monitor temperature. Everything is 48 hours now.
My daughter was 44 hours after a weak illness, oops sent her in and still had to collect x
My baby really don't have no clothes to wear since this man took all his clothes , having to start over while broke as hell really triggering ..

Anyone else totally overstimulated?? I never imagined it would be so hard! 3.5 week old and 2y9m old and the absolute exhaustion is making it soo hard to cope with the two of them! I feel bad writing this but OMG! One is constantly on the boob and the other never stops talking or jumping or whinging. Today she did a poo on the floor, peed on the pouffe and bit my husband 🆘😭 I know its normal for the toddler because its a big adjustment but it doesnt make it easier to deal with day to day. Then she goes to bed and its up all night with the baby ahhhhhh. I feel like this is going to kill me! Hope its not just me 💀💀💀

My son is 13 months, had a fever over the weekend and had lighter nappies. Had HFMD the weekend before but that cleared up last week. Fever is down but he hasn't peed all day. Nappy this morning was so light and wee was concentrated and smelly. Have him electrolytes yesterday but today he's refusing. He's been drinking milk and water, but still no pee. He had a soiled nappy but no wee. He's also had reduced appetite. Vomited once yesterday. 111 referred me to my GP but they're going to close in an hour and are taking long to pick up anyways. Thinking to just take him to A&E? Im unsure when to wait until as I have no idea when he last actually peed, as he's been drinking today so should've weed
Anyone had something similar? I'm thinking it's different to the hand foot and mouth as the sores are gone but could it be related?

My nearly 11 month old daughter did her second day of nursery today, she cries as soon as we get into the room which I know is normal, but she’s refusing to nap all day or have any milk (she’s breastfed). It’s meant she’s so overtired on a night she just cries and cries and I can’t get her down, I think its made her a bit anxious about me leaving her.
I honestly don’t know if she’s ready for nursery yet and I feel so sick of guilt but financially I have no choice as I need to go back to work 😭
When does it get better?!
