Cesarean post up

Hi,
For mum mums that had cesarean section, how long did you have to use pain relief? I am 8 days post up, and I am still using pain relief cause I still have some pain.

I’m 16 days post op, not taking pain relief but I still feel the pain in my incision and above it, like the skin is very sensitive and irritated

I am 3 weeks today, I used prescription medication for 10 days, every 4 hours AND the ibuprofen and paracetamol— i really recommend this
And then on day 12 I asked for some more lower strength version (it’s slightly stronger than cocodamol) and I pretty much stopped using it mid way last week

Now i take ibuprofen maybe 2 times a day, mostly after I’ve been too active x

Do not be scared of using the pain relief, they would not prescribe it if they didn’t expect you to use it!

Every half a week I feel a significant improvement but it definitely still feels inflamed/tight/achey depending on the time of day and my activity levels

The worst pain now i would compare to the feeling of a tight rubber band (like the mini hair elastics) when you’ve had it on your wrist — but it’s obviously where my c section is

I stopped after 10 days but only because I kept forgetting to take them and thought I'd see how I'd do without any. I'll take 1 paracetamol and 1 ibuprofen here and there when it's feeling sore if I've done a lot but it's mostly just tender now with no pain, so 2 days without constant painkillers now

Boy or Girl??

This is a potty shot scan pic from my 20 week scan - we had a private scan at 17 weeks and were told one gender. Fast forward to 20 week scan and we have just been told the opposite gender.
Would love anyone’s opinions on what gender we are having?! X

C-Section mums - what was the most 'painful' day?

I'm having my c-section next week, after having had a natural birth last year. I'm not actually worried about the procedure itself, more about what to expect after. What would you say was the worse day, and when would you say you really started to feel better? Thanks so much!

Reduced movements

Hey! I am 38 weeks and my baby is always very very active but today seems a bit less than normal. I still can feel him moving but less. Would you consider this a reason to call the triage?

Ultrasound at 20 weeks

Am I wrong for being a bit upset? So right when I found it I was pregnant, before I even had a Obgyn visit…I was having pretty bad one-sided abdominal pain. I had went to the ER three times because of it. The first time I was diagnosed with pregnancy of unknown location, so basically a possible ectopic. I had gotten ultrasounds three times the first two times it was still too early to see anything and the third time I went they were able to locate the pregnancy in the uterus. I was around six weeks at the time they could see the pregnancy.Am I wrong for asking my OBGYN for an ultrasound? The Three ultrasounds I did get at the ER were only to confirm location and I didn’t get to see anything at all the monitor was turned away from me each time and couldn’t even ask questions as the ER doctor would explain what the technician seen the whole time. They said pregnancy was in the uterus but said the heartrate of 108 was a little low for that gestational age. and I asked my obgyn if I could get a routine ultrasound and they obviously seen the 3 ultrasounds on my mychart and said that they only usually do one and I won’t be getting one until 20 weeks. So because I went to the ER and got a bunk ass ultrasound I’m now unable to see how things are progressing at almost 9 weeks. I don’t even know if the baby is still growing. When I lived in Michigan before I moved and with my first child I got an ultrasound too many times to count. I guess I’m just disappointed

Contractions

What exactly do contractions feel like? I’m not sure exactly what to be looking out for. I’ve had some sharp sharp pains on my right side almost like period cramps but way amplified and they last for about 5 or so minutes but they aren’t constant. I have a very high pain tolerance so I’m not sure if that’s a contraction or if it’s her moving and hitting a nerve. They haven’t brought me to my knees or anything but they are definitely annoying lol.
