Nursery nappy change

How often is your babies nappy being changed at nursery? My son is 15MO and is in nursery 7.30 to 4. They’ll change it roughly 3/4 times in this time. I change him in the morning before he goes and will usually change him when he comes home, plus fresh nappy for bed. He’s come home with a horrendous nappy rash on his balls and groin underneath, clearly hurts him. Mortified for him. I will be asking them to change him more often but I don’t know how often is normal

At nursery 745-545 and when in nappies they were changed at 10,12,2&4 unless they’d done a poo between. Never any nappy rash.

More than this isn’t typical as they have so many children and would otherwise be constantly changing a nappy x

I'm an ex childcare worker and we used to change the children 3 times a day, every 4 hours. Obviously extra changes if they pooed

Sounds like a good amount of changes to me! Do they use your nappies, cream and wipes or their own? My son used to get a really bad rash from some nappy brands but was fine with others x

My little one is changed roughly every 2 - 3 hours but went through a stage of having really bad nappy rash. Often when poorly or teething. I just requested they change nappies more frequently and use cream at every nappy change.

How do I tell my boyfriend I need more help with our baby?

My infant is 8 weeks old and I love her more than anything but it’s getting a little overwhelming as I feel like a single mom sometimes. My boyfriend is in school and he works part time which I understand he can’t help but during the night he never gets up to feed her a bottle and I am barely getting any sleep. During the day when he is home he is mostly playing video games and only really helps for maybe an hour or two. I have her all day which is also hard because she is in the habit of not wanting to sleep in her bassinet but on me so I honestly never have time to take a nap, shower or even cook sometimes. I tried bringing it up but it just made him feel bad and nothing changed. I would love advice on how to talk to him about this without making him upset.

Velcro babies

How is everyone getting their velcro babies to nap independently during the day?? My little guy is 7 weeks and pretty much only contact naps. On occasion he’ll do a very quick nap in the crib but has trouble connecting his sleep cycles and this usually only lasts 30 minutes and we finish the nap with a contact nap. I’m an exhausted mom and just need to get some sleep when he does during the day 😴. We’ve tried all the things, heating pad in the bassinet to make it warm before the transfer, replicating his bedtime routine, sound machine, swaddle, etc.

Strollers

I am overwhelmed by the amount of strollers options and prices, I have a 3 month old and I would like an easier stroller to take in and out of the car that has pockets and big storage space underneath. Any recommendations? Also something that I would be able to add a second kid in the future.

Showering whilst milk is coming in

My milk has just come in today. I was just wondering how do I shower as I’ve heard a lot of mixed advice. Am I supposed to leave my bra on in the shower?

Advice??

So my daughter is going through this funny little phase where she screams bloody murder before she is exhausted and eventually falls asleep. I’ve tried rocking, swaying, bouncing, burping, feeding and then burping, going outside, changing and eventually after 30-45 minutes she falls asleep on my chest. Transferring her during naps is absolutely a no go in her world. She sleeps fine in her cradle after we do our bath and bed routine. I mean I can feed her, change her diaper and burp her, lay her in the bedside cradle and she passes out sucking her thumb. She has her two month wellness check and I’m definitely going to mention it to her pediatrician. I feel like her screaming the way she’s been is not in her realm of normal. There’s no fever, she doesn’t seem sick and eats completely normal aside from when she gets like this when she’s tired.

Is anyone else going through this?? Seriously. Idk if it’s me or if I’m just doing everything wrong.

I want to start a group chat as well. I’m located in PA and would LOVE to make some friends in my area.
