Normal?

I’m new to all of this as a first-time mom, and I’m only 6 weeks pregnant, so it’s still very early. I’ve been feeling pretty tired all the time, which I can manage, but I’ve also noticed that I’m becoming more irritable than usual. I feel like I need to poop more often, but when I do, it comes out in small, pebble-like pieces that is not hard. When I can’t go, I feel really uncomfortable and nauseous, although I never actually throw up. On top of that, I’ve been struggling to sleep. I keep tossing and turning throughout the night and waking up frequently, so I never feel like I’m getting proper rest.

totally normal. Pregnancy insomnia is real and i sometimes struggle with it even in my second trimester. drinking hot tea and taking a warm shower before bed really helped me relax. First trimester is usually the hardest, symptoms lesson in second trimester.

Yeah sounds like pregnancy symptoms. Typically that gets better around 2nd trimester. You can take stool softeners. I know I had to. Just consult with your doctor too before taking them because I know you’re not supposed to take them too often

Drink some Miralax for 2-3 days. That’ll help with the constipation. Afterwards, get some high fiber gummies or powder, and eat high fiber foods. Drink some Lemon ginger tea for the nausea, and rest your body. If you’re not working, sleep. The first trimester is the hardest. Your body is learning how to build a little human, and set up life in the womb for the next 9 months. You’re going to be overly exhausted, so just rest your body! Congratulations!!❤️❤️

GBS Positive and Water Leaked

Hi everyone,

I’m 40+5 weeks pregnant with my first baby and looking for advice from anyone who’s been through something similar.

My waters started leaking around 9:30 pm yesterday (so around 3.5 hours ago from this post) and no further leaking, and the hospital has confirmed this with a positive swab test. I’ve also tested positive for Group B Strep (GBS) previously.

I’m not having any contractions or pain yet, and when the midwife examined me, my cervix was still closed and appeared dry.

The hospital is recommending induction because my waters have broken and I’m GBS-positive. I’m particularly worried about induction when my cervix is still closed, whether it will work, and the possibility of it eventually leading to a C-section.

I’d really prefer to go into labour naturally and have a vaginal birth if possible, but I also want to make sure my baby is safe.

Also, thinking to get discharged and wait for a day at home as long as it’s safe.

Has anyone experienced waters breaking before contractions started, particularly with GBS-positive results and a closed cervix?

Did you wait for natural labour or choose induction? How long did it take for your cervix to open, and did you manage to have a vaginal birth?

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences.

Thanks in advance.

Time off work after recurrent miscarriages

How long did people take off work after multiple miscarriages?

I’ve had a couple of weeks of previously but this is my 5th and it really has hit me this time emotionally. I also had to have a D&C this time which I haven’t previously.

If I was to extend my doctors note this would be my third week. Is that too long?

Almost time?

So at this point I don’t even know whats going on 🤣I am 39+3 weeks and had so many episodes of cramping/pains where I have thought this is it but clearly its been Braxton hicks as still no baby!
Yesterday I had bad cramping and pains for 9 hours from 3pm onwards, had urge to poop and lost thick discharge, and the pains did feel like they were getting worse and at one point it was too uncomfortable to even walk.. to the point I had everything ready to go and then everything just stopped again LOL.
Its my 2nd birth but tbh forgot what it felt like last time as I was induced and the whole thing was a blur as it was four years ago!

Anyone else been experiencing this?
