Almost time?

So at this point I don’t even know whats going on 🤣I am 39+3 weeks and had so many episodes of cramping/pains where I have thought this is it but clearly its been Braxton hicks as still no baby!
Yesterday I had bad cramping and pains for 9 hours from 3pm onwards, had urge to poop and lost thick discharge, and the pains did feel like they were getting worse and at one point it was too uncomfortable to even walk.. to the point I had everything ready to go and then everything just stopped again LOL.
Its my 2nd birth but tbh forgot what it felt like last time as I was induced and the whole thing was a blur as it was four years ago!

Anyone else been experiencing this?

This is my third and exactly my experience, so many times I've had the contraction counter on and really thought this is it and then it all just stops. I was induced 10 days early last time but I don't recall it being like this prior. I'm being induced tomorrow so I don't think there'll be any spontaneous labour now.

I'm in exactly the same boat with my 3rd baby, induced with my first two! I've been having all these symptoms, had the contraction timer out a few times and had it saying 'go to hospital' for a few hours but knowing I didn't need to so waited for things to escalate and it all just stops every time! Soooo frustrating 😭 I have a csection booked in 2 weeks time but am really hoping for spontaneous labour before that but starting to think it won't happen! It's so mentally exhausting 🙈

GBS Positive and Water Leaked

Hi everyone,

I’m 40+5 weeks pregnant with my first baby and looking for advice from anyone who’s been through something similar.

My waters started leaking around 9:30 pm yesterday (so around 3.5 hours ago from this post) and no further leaking, and the hospital has confirmed this with a positive swab test. I’ve also tested positive for Group B Strep (GBS) previously.

I’m not having any contractions or pain yet, and when the midwife examined me, my cervix was still closed and appeared dry.

The hospital is recommending induction because my waters have broken and I’m GBS-positive. I’m particularly worried about induction when my cervix is still closed, whether it will work, and the possibility of it eventually leading to a C-section.

I’d really prefer to go into labour naturally and have a vaginal birth if possible, but I also want to make sure my baby is safe.

Also, thinking to get discharged and wait for a day at home as long as it’s safe.

Has anyone experienced waters breaking before contractions started, particularly with GBS-positive results and a closed cervix?

Did you wait for natural labour or choose induction? How long did it take for your cervix to open, and did you manage to have a vaginal birth?

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences.

Thanks in advance.

Time off work after recurrent miscarriages

How long did people take off work after multiple miscarriages?

I’ve had a couple of weeks of previously but this is my 5th and it really has hit me this time emotionally. I also had to have a D&C this time which I haven’t previously.

If I was to extend my doctors note this would be my third week. Is that too long?

Morning sickness

Hi! I’m 12 weeks 3 days and still dealing with morning sickness. I’ve tried actually everything and nothing works. Is anyone else in the same situation? 😭 Would love to connect with other people going through it or just someone with a similar due date (April 21st)

Normal?

I’m new to all of this as a first-time mom, and I’m only 6 weeks pregnant, so it’s still very early. I’ve been feeling pretty tired all the time, which I can manage, but I’ve also noticed that I’m becoming more irritable than usual. I feel like I need to poop more often, but when I do, it comes out in small, pebble-like pieces that is not hard. When I can’t go, I feel really uncomfortable and nauseous, although I never actually throw up. On top of that, I’ve been struggling to sleep. I keep tossing and turning throughout the night and waking up frequently, so I never feel like I’m getting proper rest.
