Morning sickness

Hi! I’m 12 weeks 3 days and still dealing with morning sickness. I’ve tried actually everything and nothing works. Is anyone else in the same situation? 😭 Would love to connect with other people going through it or just someone with a similar due date (April 21st)

I relate to this I also struggled bad w nausea. The only thing that worked for me was unisom multiple times a day and then zofran, but with zofran I had digestive side effects too then

I had really bad morning sickness when I was pregnant and I swear the wrist bands with the bead on it is a life changer. I got mine at cvs and they are just wrist bands you wear and it puts pressure on a certain spot that helps relieve the nausea. Best thing out there!

Mine lasted until about 15 weeks and came back in a lighter form mid second tri. The thing that helped most was eating first second I woke up, crackers by the bed, b6 and unisom together, acupuncture, smoothies, more protein and less sugar, cold towels and plain food. Good luck!

I did too, was vomiting until 19 weeks. Then a started doxalamine - a 25 mg sleeping pill - and I’ve felt great since

Sorry I also take two magnesium pills, B1 and B6 and make sure I never have an empty stomach

GBS Positive and Water Leaked

Hi everyone,

I’m 40+5 weeks pregnant with my first baby and looking for advice from anyone who’s been through something similar.

My waters started leaking around 9:30 pm yesterday (so around 3.5 hours ago from this post) and no further leaking, and the hospital has confirmed this with a positive swab test. I’ve also tested positive for Group B Strep (GBS) previously.

I’m not having any contractions or pain yet, and when the midwife examined me, my cervix was still closed and appeared dry.

The hospital is recommending induction because my waters have broken and I’m GBS-positive. I’m particularly worried about induction when my cervix is still closed, whether it will work, and the possibility of it eventually leading to a C-section.

I’d really prefer to go into labour naturally and have a vaginal birth if possible, but I also want to make sure my baby is safe.

Also, thinking to get discharged and wait for a day at home as long as it’s safe.

Has anyone experienced waters breaking before contractions started, particularly with GBS-positive results and a closed cervix?

Did you wait for natural labour or choose induction? How long did it take for your cervix to open, and did you manage to have a vaginal birth?

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences.

Thanks in advance.

Time off work after recurrent miscarriages

How long did people take off work after multiple miscarriages?

I’ve had a couple of weeks of previously but this is my 5th and it really has hit me this time emotionally. I also had to have a D&C this time which I haven’t previously.

If I was to extend my doctors note this would be my third week. Is that too long?

Almost time?

So at this point I don’t even know whats going on 🤣I am 39+3 weeks and had so many episodes of cramping/pains where I have thought this is it but clearly its been Braxton hicks as still no baby!
Yesterday I had bad cramping and pains for 9 hours from 3pm onwards, had urge to poop and lost thick discharge, and the pains did feel like they were getting worse and at one point it was too uncomfortable to even walk.. to the point I had everything ready to go and then everything just stopped again LOL.
Its my 2nd birth but tbh forgot what it felt like last time as I was induced and the whole thing was a blur as it was four years ago!

Anyone else been experiencing this?

Normal?

I’m new to all of this as a first-time mom, and I’m only 6 weeks pregnant, so it’s still very early. I’ve been feeling pretty tired all the time, which I can manage, but I’ve also noticed that I’m becoming more irritable than usual. I feel like I need to poop more often, but when I do, it comes out in small, pebble-like pieces that is not hard. When I can’t go, I feel really uncomfortable and nauseous, although I never actually throw up. On top of that, I’ve been struggling to sleep. I keep tossing and turning throughout the night and waking up frequently, so I never feel like I’m getting proper rest.
