Witching hour..

My little girl turned 7 weeks yesterday and for the last 3 evenings has screamed the house down for at least 3 hours each night.. she settles for a few minutes and then erupts again 😭 we’ve tried gripe water, infacol, nappy changes, a bath, bottles.. nothing helps! I feel awful for my 5 year old as I’m struggling to do everything he needs from me 😭. Not really sure what to expect from posting this.. kinda just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same? 😭

We’ve been having the same and we’re 7 weeks too 😭 luckily ours only lasts an hour but it’s 6pm on the dot every single day and the only thing that calms it the tiniest bit is womb sounds on YouTube and walking him around in a dark room whilst it’s playing 😭😂

Omg exactly the same 😂 mine was 7 weeks yesterday aswell and it’s been the last 3 nights… we’re struggling and just do not know what is up. Nothing is settling her, normally if nothing else works going in the car makes her sleep but we tried that and she ended up so distressed she kept holding her breath x

We’re at 8 weeks and our started at 6 weeks 🫣😮‍💨 it’s so tough! Also called Purple crying. Best advice we got was to embrace and prepare for it (as in get ourselves ready for bed, eat dinner before/ or after) - there isn’t a shortcut to fix it as their little brains are developing and taking in the world. Once I understood my baby is not in pain or discomfort, it made me feel better. My husband and I take turns and give each other a break from the crying. Also agree on being in a dark room.

Glad to know we in the same boat. Hang in there x

Thanks ladies! Feel for us all but nice to know we’re in the same boat, just hoping it passes quickly for us all and for them! X

We were the same from 6 weeks! We found the only thing that worked was change the scenery! Get warm clothes on and go for a walk with her in the pram. We were doing this at midnight when nothing else worked..

It’s stopped! It lasted on and off for an about a week and then she went back to her ‘normal’ and nothing since, she’s now 8 weeks x

Rigevidon & Breastfeeding

I’m 6 weeks PP and at my 6 week check was prescribed rigevidon but I’m exclusively breastfeeding and have just read that you shouldn’t take it while breastfeeding as it reduces your supply

Is this correct? The GP did ask how i was feeding my baby so was aware i was exclusively BF, anyone else taken it while breastfeeding?

8 week injections

My little girl had her 8 week check up and injections today, she’s spent most of the day asleep but when she is awake she’s just screaming like she’s in pain 😭 it’s absolutely heartbreaking to see, is this normal?!

She’s had calpol and 3 bottles but didn’t drink a lot of them.

Breastfeeding

I am currently combi feeding but wanting to just go to formula, is it okay for me to completely stop breastfeeding or could I express a couple of time a day and just give him a bottle? I’m unsure on what’s the best way to go about it but I want to try and completely cut out putting him on the breast if possible if I can?

Sleep Training

My LO is approaching 4 months. I have been considering sleep training, any thoughts or advice? It’s just me and him and I have no support and I really want to get back to sleeping so I don’t spend the whole day tired.
